I'm not so sure I'd call adult chickens "cute". The baby chicks, sure, but not the adults. Also, I've never quite understood why some people react to cuteness by saying "I could just eat (him/her/you/them) up" - in most cases, I would hope they don't mean that literally, but I'm not sure how to interpret it figuratively or metaphorically.
I don't get it either; at most, I want to kiss cute animals. But I do find adult chickens pretty cute.
