Eric at Fur Con
Eric finds his people, suggested by Golo! Colored as an incentive. The painting in the back were drawn directly into the background as a single layer as quickly as I could, which is why they're quite loose and sloppy. I gave myself 15 min each to slap a random character into each frame, shading and all. It was a fun challenge, but obviously there's only so much you can do with such limited time. I touched a few of them up later, so more like 20-25 min.
Erilas, meanwhile, was painted separately as its own drawing, as you can see. I actually started on her first, before Eric or all the other stuff, as originally I just planned to make her painting as a stand-alone. For the background, I thought it'd be fun to paint a zen garden to complement her fur. A nice, peaceful place for Evals' sister to do yoga. Since the view is from above, I suppose you could say this is a downward dog. Haha.
If you want just the Eric panel without the sketch comic around it, I've attached it below.

This whole idea is such a blast, I just love it since it fits Eric perfectly and also those paintings of his are done in a lovely manner. :3 And additionally I'm eternally amused by how sweetly devoted Kathrin is to Eric (since she genuinely cares about him) whereas Flora has pretty much only seen the "other side of Eric" so she's hardly impressed.
NGL sometimes i wish some of these were for sale as poster prints
What did Eric offer Erilas to get her to pose for him?
He just used his IMAAAGINATION
Just give Eric a dimensional phone Katt and leave him here.
Why is Kat holding a pitohui bird in the bottom left painting? you know those are neurotoxic, right? great job by the way! it looks awesome!
Flora reaction was so funny 🤣🤣
This actually made me laugh out loud.
While that portal is open, does anyone mind if I walk through?
The tigress sitting on grass painting is hella beautiful! 💗
I would buy all his arts.
Erilas 😍
Is this the first time we’ve seen Erilas without clothes?
Sometimes I wonder if one day, after a career of doing (*mostly) SFW art, Tom is going to realize the real furry-art money is in pr0n, and it's going to blow all your minds AND bank accounts.
Thanks to the convention, he's set for life.
of course it's Further Confusion that he ends up at.
And a bunch of us are crowded around trying to place commissions and buying some of the art: all those beautiful pieces of feminine ..❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Again, I love Flora's reaction to this. "Let's just dump him here." She should also inform Evals that Eric apparently has a thing for his sister. Or maybe Evals already knows. *shrugs*
Please tell me those are gonna be prints available at Anthrocon
Those background paintings are not sloppy at all, they are absolutely gorgeous
I was going to say the same thing. If those are just "slap a random character into each frame, shading and all", I'd love to see what they would look like if he had taken his time.
Man, for ~20 minutes of work, those background paintings are still SUPER impressive!
I love this lol
Is he wrong?
Good work Tom, as always. This looks great. 👍
In all honesty, he probably sell out by the end of day one. (I’d buy three or four myself)
He may have found his people, but the moment he figures out that anthros are fictional over here, he will run back to his world, and maybe some lucky fellows will be able to follow
Given his mindset, he would probably find a way to have the portal stay open so he can monopolize it himself.
20 minutes for those side panels? Man, those came out so pretty. Obviously the Kathrin has to be my favorite. Not only cuz I'm bias but due to its simplicity, it has to be my favorite piece I've seen in a hot minute. I'd definitely love to see more like this in the future. All a round, these were a great bunch of artworks! 💙 I can only aspire to make something that beautiful that quickly
It's a great example of how she's just intrinsically sweet and adorable.
Flora: "He seems fine. Can we go home, now?"
Flora's gaze: priceless 😁
Just take my money!!!
Wait untill Eric finds out AI art.
Ah, but which side would he be on? 🤔
I'd be one of the ones in front of the booth, waving money.
Eric definitely found his type of people lol Erilas looks beautiful :)
Of course he draws kat in a wholesome manner much to her frustration
She definitely has a wholesome side too.
So SEXY to be super, really, very NAKED!!!
Eric has definitely found his people
