This is a what-if of the scene if it was all just an act, and Trace is struggling to pretend to be with Laura in front of Flora - everyone having a laugh regardless every time he messes up

They are. Going off the identical rings they're wearing in the linked pic they're either married, or at least engaged.
Ya know it seems to take a nice guy to play the bad guy Trace being a good example here before he lost his memory.

Laura swearing is one of the last things id expect her to say.
Since Laura is red and comes from a seafarers family I always imagined her with an Irish or Scottish accent. So she would swearing with Gaelic insults in thick accent
