Side Comic: The Dragon Masquerade
A prequel story! 6 months after Zen linked minds with Natani, the siblings are now paying off the debt for that life-saving procedure by performing a heist for Clovis, the self-coined "Prince of Greed". Little do they know who they're actually stealing from...
This 24-page side comic was originally created in 2014 and is now being made available digitally for the first time to all patrons! I hope you enjoy the story, it was a lot of work at the time of making it.
If you enjoy these side comics, I will begin creating new ones to be published for patrons in the future. Please let me know.

Thank you, Tom! It definitely worth the efforts, and I'm glad you created this story too :) Tbh, I've never thought about Clovis as about wolf, (s)he is so bad-foxy! and "behind the scene" pages... are tidybits I appreciate too. It's like "how we made the movie" after movie's subtitles, look from inside :)
Love this one still have the printed version seald
where can we read the comic ?
im an idiot, THEY ARE FUCKING PDF !
Big fan of the comic and the side comics. Would totally buy one about the history of the characters :P (and all the others)
Very good work! And thanks for the patron availability, I was trying to get funds squared to actually buy this.
How much was it 4 years ago? The site that hosts the print-to-order of Dragon Masquerade has the physical copy at $6...
Great comic!
I already purchased it :) It was great^^
Ahh woops, guess I paid for the digital version twice. lol Oh well, I'm just happy knowing I can support such a wonderful artist! Also bought the physical version. Keep up the good work!
a keidran life lore could be interesting.
• Keiser Family Story • Flora's Time on the Farm • Trace's Pre-Templar Life • Natani and Zen's Life with their Parents • Rose and Saria's Friendship • The Adventures of Mike and Evals: A Story of Several Dreams (what they've dreamed of being able to do if they were free. Think Indiana jones type stuff.) Just to name a few side story ideas that I've thought of.
I love the Dragon Masquerade. I just have to find enough time to re-read the entire comic, TDM, PPP, and all.
Oh, I bought this not to long ago from IndyPlanet, in physical form. It was such a nice experience receiving a true to life physical comic of your work, and it was great prequel too. I shall cherish my copy for all time, and order more stuff like it in the future if you make more.
also we need more awesome side comics like this one and pixi panic
I wish I had enough money to go to a comic con and see you but this will have to do until I finish my degree. Also I love the cover art for this side comic.
Just wanted to say I bought this awhile back and loved it. Also if you ever do physical releases of more side stories I will buy those too.
Glad to see this one making it digital; although I do love having my signed copy, typos and all. I keep it in the plastic wrap you sent with it, still with the backerboard and original tape. Heck I even keep it in the cardboard envelope it was shipped in. It's only been out, like, 3 times since I received it: The first time I read it; the second read through for typos; and the third when I took it out just now to look at it again. Pristine condition, here I come! 20 years from now you should at least be worth a good Benjamin, two if the comic gains more popularity.
i have a signed copy at home, now i have the pdf so i can keep the book in good condition. thanks tom.
Time for the origin of Best Girl!
Please make more, aslong as it doesnt take away from the main comic
Always wanted to read this, thank you
"Coined Prince of Greed" Bravo, sir.
Glad to see this available to Patrons! I bought it ages ago (at Comic Con 2014, I think) and loved it. Not least because Princess Clovis is cute. :)
I have enjoyed the side comics and look forward to paying for more.
I greatly enjoy the side comics whether they are canon or not (but really like it when they are canon to the main story). Please keep making them.
Thank you Tom! It'll be nice to have it digitally as well as in print! Please keep making side comics, they are so fun and the characters are great!
John- It is cannon.
this isn't canon, is it?
All side stories, unless labeled otherwise by Tom, are canon.
At last!!!! I'll finally know who's this Clovis everyone keeps raving about
XD I thought we told you who he was.
Yay! An instant classic now available digitally! Instant best Tuesday ever!
I enjoyed it very much! And the Pixie Panic one, too (but this one even more).
I bought this a while back but love the comic. It was interesting that Nora was involved in this
i enjoyed reading the tdm book after i pre-ordered it, its a good read
This comic was fun! Glad to see it being spread. Was it really 3 years ago when this was made? Time flies!
I've always loved the idea of side comics. You should keep doing them!
Now hopefully less people will be confused about why Clovis is always a woman in the sketch streams.
Except Non-Patrons that is.
Already have it but this is certainly a good excuse to go re-read it! I, for one, love the side comics. They let us see stories that wouldn't fit in the main story line without derailing things for months at a time. I'm guessing they have to be fun to do creatively as well, if time consuming.
