Announcement - Taking a Break Next Month!
Hello everyone! I wanted to let you know that I'm planning to take a temporary break from the Patreon for the month of September. This is to catch up on my backlog of work and put the focus back on the webcomic. There's nothing you need to do - luckily, Patreon has a built-in handy feature that lets me pause payments, so you won't be charged for the month while I'm gone. August colors will still happen after I return from Megaplex, but Sunday Sketch Streams will be on hold until the first week of October. After that, things will resume as normal.
The convention season, which was all bunched up into two months, on top of getting Covid for weeks has left me scrambling and behind schedule... though honestly, I was already behind schedule as it is this last year, so I think a break will do Twokinds a lot of good. I plan to build up a backlog and get back on track with my schedule, at least as best as I'm able. Any sketches I still owe will be finished during my sabbatical.
This will be the first official break I've taken from the Patreon since I first began the sketch blog. I'm a little scared to put it on hold like this, but I think it's necessary. Thank you for understanding and being along for the ride with all these sketch suggestions. I will return next month for a sketch stream on October 6th!
edit: Just to be clear, this is not a break from Twokinds, just the sketch blog! I will be focusing my efforts on putting out more comic pages.

Actually, does anyone know of a place I can kind of vent and get my points of view out and stuff because the last message I put was a little much and I feel I don’t know a bit ashamed embarrassed because I think it is certain to trigger me, but I do have somethoughts I’d like to get out and I need a place to do that sorry
So I do have a question and honestly a bit nervous because it has to do with the references and stuff to prostitution because that sort of stuff is a mental trigger for me. I have PTSD associated with it and I just wanted to know, what direction twokinds is going to go involving Clovis given the fact that that is a heavy theme involving his backstory that sort of stuff can get kind of hard on me

I wouldn’t care if you charged me for September. I support the patreon because I love the comic, and it’s tragic that the comic is being put second to the sketches coming out of patreon. I’d rather you put TwoKinds first.
No need to apologize to us Tom. You pour your heart and soul into these drawings and everyone needs a break sometimes. More time spent on the comic is never a bad thing for us fans! i personally wouldn't even mind if you halfed the amount of sketches you did so you could focus more on your story but thats just me :). Keep up the awesome work man and look forward to seeing your return in October!

I frankly find it amazing that you keep up the near daily sketches. And while I enjoy them, I kinda wish the effort went into updating the comic more, but I suppose Patreon pays the bills. Anyway, take a break, re-energise, refocus, and come back ready for anything.

While I'll be sad to not get regular Patreon updates this coming month, I sure am going to be happy to see more of the comic being done. It had been going at a snail's pace. So no worries!

Don't worry about it. You've already managed to maintain pretty impressive consistency for the last decade. There's nothing wrong with doing a brief pause to get back on track and catch up on the backlog, and I strongly doubt most of your fans will hold it against you. Take care of yourself. This is just a break from the Patreon. Twokinds will hopefully return to a regular weekly schedule once I get back from this final convention at the end of August.
