honestly reminds me of the scene from Hogfather, with Albert reminiscing about the time he spent staring into window of a toyshop, looking at an expensive wooden rocking horse just before hogswatch. only with less freezing of noses to the glass.
It's sad to say this, but I feel like Tom has lost his love for Twokinds. The main comic hasn't had a page in over a month. No single-page Christmas or April Fools comics in years. Not to mention the various delays this year. The 2023 Christmas art is final art from a patreon sketch, that in itself is not a problem. The problem is that this final art is extremely simplistic. The transcription of the last page, which is super simple to do, was simply "blah blah blah". No pronouncements about page delays. It seems like the only thing getting attention right now is Patreon. I love Twokinds, I love Tom's work. But Tom, if you're tired of the main comic, it's okay to take a vacation or put coimc officially on hiatus. But communicate before doing this. If you're tired of the Twokinds story and want to focus on other projects, go ahead! BUT COMMUNICATE THIS! If something is happening in your personal life and you don't feel comfortable continuing with twokinds. Speak. You don't need to go into any detail about the subject if you don't want to. But don't leave us in the dark. Don't give us the silent treatment.
i don't think he's lost his love of the comic, i just think that he's got a lot to think about, especially since i MIGHT have asked him a whole lot of questions recently about lore, particularly about things such as the rules of magic, technological levels of the various races, nerd stuff, and he might be trying to reassess how he is going to portray things like that in the world. he has said that a lot of lore will not be explicitly stated or shown, but there are plenty of other nerds like me who: A: really love the comic, and B: really REALLY love science.
I suppose it makes sense for a young dragon to have sticky paw pads… after all, dragons usually live in mountainous areas so, before their wings are strong enough to allow them to fly, baby dragons have sticky paw pads to allow them to safely walk around the mountain slopes…
When are you going to actually continue the comic?
Magic Emporium There go the golden galleons. :D
A sticky little baby
My Geckos aprove.
aren't they adorable? i do believe the book store would also catch my eye becouse i do like reading books whenever i have time for it and remember todo so

Gecko Reni is best Reni, change my mind
here's my attempt: adult nerdy yet shy reni is better becouse of: she's adorably quirky and she's a great companion as an adult other than that are raine and reni similar in age? i ask becouse reni and raine are kids here which makes me wonder about her age

Is Reni part Gecko? Cute AF anyway.
Careful Reni glass breaks ya know...
I love how Reni is stuck to the window like a Gecko, I need more of it!
Gecko Reni is soooo cute!
All of these drawings of Aunt Rose and Raine are adorably cute. Then, you add young Reni and the adorable cuteness increases 1000%.
Epic!
The Reni is lizard, the lizard is Reni. marvelous
I love how gecko-Reni’s prints on the window look like paw-prints too
Adorable! And anyone figured what's the complete name of the shop? I could only recognize the first word ("Magic")
"Emporium" me thinks
hmmmm needs more dragons
Gecko.
Reni doing her best imitation of a gecko is way more adorable than it has any right to be.
Baby dragon gecko feet!
I was going to say I thought Reni was a dragon, not a gecko. LOL
Reni is probably the only character since Chiyo-chan who can be so accidentally adorable. (For the young 'uns who don't know Chiyo-chan, Google Azumanga Daioh.)
Raspberry Heaven! I'm coming back to you! (Don't sell Yotsuba short though... even though she'll make you say "what a weirdo" she's plenty cute as well)
This looks wonderful, hope this wins a color vote
(O--o--O) 🤣
Shopkeeper: "Oh, for-- 𝘐 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘸!"
