I thought the human wuz a man and I still think they were cute, but I can see that she is female (the statement still stands)
I made a comment earlier about the Prince first meeting LT Reed, but it deserves mentioning on its own. This would make the second time we've seen the Prince make a proposal to Alice, and when it happened prior, we can guess that he was simply infatuated with her exotic beauty. That only made him a smitten kitten, but this makes it clear he's lovestruck at more than just beauty. Seeing someone for who you are and loving you all the more? That, my friends, is what you call a "keeper." Take the proposal, Lieutenant. You'll never forgive yourself if you let this catch go.
Some friends and I (over on the Kevin and Kell webcomic chat) have speculated that the first time he proposed to her, she must have said something like “I’ll think about it…” Meaning that now he’s just reassuring her he still loves her, even as a human… that and/or as a blue eyed lynx, the prince is nearly or totally blind… and so hasn’t even noticed that Lt. Reed is a human, as her human scent is covered up by the leftover lynx scent on her clothes after the lynx royal family and Lt. Reed all slept together the previous night…

well 2 situations that explain this. Either 1) he still thinks she's beautiful and doesn't realize she's the same person or 2) he does this to every pretty girl he sees. I like to imagine it's the first because tbh, she doesn't look all that different between the two forms.
I would say she smells the same to him... if the enchantment on the charm,Necklace, Collar is anything like Euchre's perfect transformation the smell could still remain on her or again we go back to the mid-transformation thing.
I like to think the prince knows exactly who she is regardless of species, and if anything finds her human form even more beautiful. Added bonus points for cementing good human-lynx relations, but mostly he just has good taste and a passionate heart.
Someone elsewhere pointed out the fact that she still has slit pupils as well as the visible canine, and that she’s still standing on her toes, not to mention the “Mrah” reaction
As I mentioned elsewhere, it's equally possible the prince caught her mid-transformation, like moments before full humanity set in. It's equally possible that some Keidran habits take a bit longer to fade after having lived them for so long.
Well, this would make for a interesting bath scene now. ;)

I read that as the prince catching her mid-transformation, like moments before full humanity. But it's equally valid that some habits stick a little longer. Like how she's still standing on the front of her human feet; recoiling in surprise or still standing like a Keidran? You make the call.

I kind of figured something like this was going to happen. Just because she had the FORM of a lynx, didn't mean she had the SCENT of a lynx. Of course, having all the clothes she has with her old scent on them, was PROBABLY a big give away, even if she DID now have a lynx scent. (She also, likely would have had a very similar scent to her human version anyway,which would likely have been a bit confusing.) I suspect the only reason he hasn't proposed to her yet was, he was waiting to see if she would confess her humanity.
