Todd, as someone who keeps an archive of previous Song vs Song results, I can confirm that the previous episode was such a high turnout, not only did "Bad Guy" get the most votes for any song ever, "Royals" is #2.
I gotta say, and I might be the only one to think this, but the fact that Billie Jean is basically stylized as a fictional press release kind of works against it. I know it isn't actually, but it really feels like it is.
