What Are We Working On? | TFS Update
Hey Everyone!
As we head into the second half of the year, we wanted to give everyone an update on what we're working on!
First off, our tabletop series, Tales Unwritten, is starting the long-awaited release of its third season! The party reaches the island of Forneau, and now must brave the dangers of the jungle to find a new home for the Fauni refugees. The first episode is already up for those with early access privileges, and after the August 12th premiere stream (hey, that's today!) episodes will be published biweekly over on our Tales Unwritten channel.
Next up, work continues on our "Toonami Abridged" block! Scripting on the next installment of Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged is complete, and production is now underway! In the meantime, scripts for the next installment of Sailor Moon and a new addition, Tenchi Muyo, are on our docket.
Regarding HFIL, production on the next episode has also begun! The audio, script, scene instructions, and raw assets have been handed over to our animators to begin their work. As a little tease, take a look at the title:
In Four Star Bento news, we're bringing back the Dragon Ball commentaries! Yes, with Dragon Ball: Bingus Beerus coming out in the Fall, Lani and Kaiser finally relent and sit down to talk about their thoughts about Dragon Ball Super! Will they have anything good to say about it? Who can say! The commentaries will start releasing on August 21st, but $5+ patrons will get early access starting August 14th!
Now, we have one more thing in the works! We're taking our "Metal Gear (Beta)" video and expanding it! Stephan is taking the lead in animating Solid Snake's journey through Shadow Moses. Here's a couple production images to show off what Stephan has in store:
Hope this sates everyone's curiosity about what we're doing! Stay tuned to our page for when these projects make it down the pipeline!

I noticed Antfish's roles have been recast in the recent episodes of HFIL. Is there any particular reason for that? Is Ant just extra busy?
Is Takas secret project still a thing? I think it was teased alongside Unabridged, which was... quite a while ago, and I think several people have since mentioned that that is still in thge works, but the last time I heard about it was probably also over a year ago. Maybe it's just not really under the TFS umbrella anymore?
oh boy. dragon ball super commentary. that's gonna be one interesting watch. im looking forward to it
Thanks for the update Quinn! And ooh, looking forward to the Beerus commentaries
Awesomeness! I look forward to seeing your future videos! They always brighten my day :)
Keep YYH coming!
Ooooh what an awesome news drop! So excited for all these new episodes of the shows that are in the pipeline! I was disappointed I missed out on the stream for the new Tales Unwritten, but I'll definitely be watching when it gets on YouTube! Looking forward to all of this, thank you for the update, and for all your hard work everyone! ❤️
Hmm. The next episode of HFIL's title is a play on "conjugal visit" and there's a Metal Gear parody in the works. Guys, if I didn't know better, I'd say you found somebody to be the new voice of Princess Snake or Quadros is reprising the role and she's going to get a chance to do some couple stuff with Zarbon.
Many thanks for the update Quinn/TFS! Looking forward to more MGB (and the rest)!
That Metal Gear Beta video was hilarious, so I'm excited to see what you do with the expanded version.
Stop stop stop....You had me at Tenchi Muyo. Also looking forward to HIFL and Metal Gear.
The Metal Gear Solid Beta has me hyped most. I love MGS and seeing more parodies makes my heart grow 3 sizes!
TFS!!! GIVE ME YYH EP 2 AND MY MONEY IS YOURS!!!
I am LOVING sailor moon abridged! If you haven’t chosen voice actors for the outer scouts yet, please let us know! I’d love to audition!
When is the next episode of HFIL?
When they get the animation finished would be my guess based on what they said in this post.
