Status Update: Compatibility, Milestones & Translation Changes
Hi everyone,
Bare Bare V3.3.0 and the latest WickedWhims seem unbroken by the recent "Sul Sul, Smarter Sims!" patch.
Now that Barenniversary is behind us, I’m excited to share a few major milestones I’m currently working on, alongside some changes to mod translations:
🧥 Coat Gameplay
This was the most challenging gameplay addition I have attempted so far. Due to conflicting elements with how WickedWhims clothing works, it required extensive testing and workarounds. While not perfect, it is functional and playable, and I am currently moving forward with animating and building the interactions.
💥 Captain Alpha Wolf M4A1 Gameplay
Captain Alpha Wolf felt a bit too weak compared to the other two Bareverse personas, so I gave him a big M4A1 rifle. Problem solved 💀 It's already in the ideation stage, and I’ve been testing animations for a few poses. And damn, he looks good with a big gun. Size really does matter, eh?
✌️ Bare Bare Ultimate Makeover
Many early interactions across Poses, Dwerks, Bates, and couple interactions were built when I was first learning mod development. I am upgrading and refreshing these categories, as well as adding new interactions.
🌎 New Bareverse Persona?
I am developing a new persona-based gameplay concept centered around body rope restraints, forced actions, and handguns. Since this tone does not fit Captain Alpha Wolf's current identity, I am still deciding whether to make this a sub-persona or a brand-new character.
Ceasing Translation Support (v3.3.0 Onwards)
Managing translations manually during release phases has become too time-consuming, so official translation support will end with version 3.3.0. If you are a translator and would like to share your work, please send me a PM or comment on the translation guide post so other players can find your download links.

I really like the idea and gameplay of Bare Bare overall; the only thing that bothers me a bit is a mod focused on men having female options. In my opinion, there should be an option to disable this if the player doesn't want it, or the female options should be a separate download!
Glad you like the mod! Male and female systems are already separated from V3.0.0—Sims without the "Bare Bare" trait can't access any self play interactions regardless of gender. While splitting this into two separate mods is too much work to maintain, I am open to adding sexual orientation filters in the future so unwanted social interactions stay hidden. I can't promise it just yet, as I haven't fully looked into how orientation preferences are coded, but I'll look into it. Thanks for playing!
