🏜️ Veridale Rework — Tutorial Cards & Visual Improvements

Hello everyone!

I’m completely reworking Veridale’s graphics and trying to fix some of the things my brain decided to do a few months ago when I first developed this part of the game. Hahaha.

Honestly, after going through everything again, I realized there are quite a few confusing things. Some mechanics were introduced without enough explanation, which can make it difficult for players to understand how everything works. But I believe I can organize everything and make this section much better.

I’ve also created some informational and tutorial scenes to explain the mechanics more clearly. After all, I basically threw players into an almost entirely new gameplay concept without properly explaining how anything worked.

That’s going to change now. I want players to have a better understanding of the systems, resources, and requirements needed to progress, without having to figure everything out on their own.

I’m also planning to replace that old, rather ugly HUD at the top of the screen. I already have a few designs prepared, and I’m planning to hold a poll today or tomorrow so you can help decide which one will replace it.

🏰 What Am I Focusing on Next?

For now, I’ll be focusing my efforts on Veridale.

As you know, there are two possible paths: traveling to Veridale or staying at the castle and paying 50 Gold every three days to keep the merchants supplied.

I’m starting with Veridale because it’s the part I recently reviewed, and it’s where I found the most things that need improvement. So I’d rather get this path sorted out first before moving on to the other one.

There’s still quite a bit of work ahead, but I want to use this opportunity to make this part of the game more organized, visually appealing, and easier to understand.
