🌿 ELF KINGDOM — Development Update | Free Update
📜 Devlog — Road to Version 0.7
Hey everyone!
I wanted to give you a quick update on how development is progressing.
After going through everything that's left to implement, I estimate that Version 0.7 should be finished sometime between August 10th and 15th. Of course, that's only an estimate—it could end up being a little earlier or a little later depending on how busy things get with my real-life job over the next couple of weeks.
As always, once the update is finished, it will be released first to the higher Patreon tiers before gradually rolling out to everyone else.
My current plan is to publish the build here on Patreon around August 23rd or 24th, followed by the public release on F95Zone around August 25th. Again, that's simply the roadmap I'm aiming for right now and may change if development takes longer than expected.
🎨 Main Menu Redesign
I've also started redesigning the game's main menu.
The old artwork has been removed because, looking back at it now, I feel like I can create something that better represents the quality I'm aiming for today.
The screenshot below is just an early preview. There are still several things I want to improve, especially the golden divider lines and the entire panel on the right side. I also need to update all the information displayed there—after all, we've passed 25 supporters quite a while ago.
Speaking of that... thank you all so much for your support. Seeing this project continue to grow is one of the biggest motivations I have to keep improving Elf Kingdom.
🏆 Achievement System
Another feature I've been working on (and one that unfortunately forced me to go back through almost 70,000 lines of code 😅) is a brand-new Achievement System.
The current plan is to make this feature available starting with the Elven Initiate tier.
I don't want achievements to be just another checklist.
Instead, I want them to feel like the game is personally acknowledging players who decide to explore different choices, discover hidden events, or simply spend time experiencing everything Elf Kingdom has to offer.
When I first started this project, my goal wasn't just to make an adult game.
More than anything, I wanted to create a game that people would genuinely enjoy playing.
These achievements are one way of rewarding curiosity and exploration, encouraging players to experiment with different routes instead of simply following the most obvious path every time.
👗 Alternate Outfits
I've also been thinking about another way to thank everyone who supports the project financially.
I'm currently exploring the possibility of adding alternate outfits for some of the characters.
The idea is to include a special outfit code with each update, available here on Patreon, allowing supporters to unlock additional costumes inside the game.
It wouldn't affect the story in any way—it would simply be a fun extra for those helping fund development.
Right now I'm still experimenting with how to implement it, but if everything goes according to plan, Auriane will probably be the first character to receive an alternate outfit.
There's a good chance this feature will already be included in Version 0.7.
There's still a lot of work left before the update is ready, but I'm really happy with the direction the project is taking.
