27k lines of code.

It may not sound like much to some people — but to me, it’s a lot. I honestly didn’t expect this project to go past even 5k lines when I first started.

First of all, I just want to thank everyone who has been following this journey so far.

To the 60,000 people who viewed the game on F95Zone, and to all of you who support and follow my work here — that truly means a lot to me. Seeing those numbers grow and knowing there’s real interest in the project gives me even more motivation to keep improving it.

Regarding development:

I’ve already finished several of the +18 scene animations.
There are only two left to complete this part.

However, in the middle of working on that, I realized something that really bothered me.

The game is… silent.

You click through things, advance dialogue, enter and exit screens — and there’s basically no sound. No feedback.

And that started to feel wrong.

Every visual novel I’ve played has been like this. So now I’m wondering:

Do developers avoid adding sound because they don’t want to?
Or has it simply become something “typical” of the genre?

To test this, I ran an experiment.

I implemented sound in one specific section of the game — simple effects, click feedback, light ambient audio — and left the rest of the game silent, like most titles in this style.

Now I want to evaluate how that feels in practice.

Mechanically, the game is working. The animations are almost done.
But this audio issue made me realize the experience might be missing something — maybe it needs more “life.”

I’ll keep refining and observing how it plays out.
