Really cool update! I've become addicted to hauling junk cars with my 48ft flatbed. My only constructive criticisms would be: - The forklift at Joe's Junk needs to be the long-fork model, as the standard one provided makes it far too easy for cars to fall off the forks and get damaged. For example, I can't even pick up the H-series vans because they immediately fall off the forklift. - The asphalt loading area at Joe's Junk needs to be flatter, as the forklift bounces around and either loses traction/gets stuck or makes the cars fall off. I tried resetting/towing the forklift, but recovery options are greyed out in the radial menu for me. - The penalties for damage don't make a whole lot of sense to me, and seem quite harsh. I lose $28 per delivery every time for "bad parking", even though I'm in the middle of the zone. Then, I lose $200+ & RP points for "damage", even though it's extremely difficult to move the cars with the forklift without denting them slightly. I've actually lost "respect" levels at Joe's Junk by hauling cars for them, it doesn't make any sense. They're junk cars, so I'm not sure why I'm getting penalized so heavily for "damage", they're literally being disposed of anyway, lol. So I'm not really earning much money, and I'm not leveling up with Joe's Junk, but the update is a really cool concept, and I hope to see more in this direction!
great feedback. I will change out the forklift. you can't recover or tow it because it is a map asset and not an owned vehicle. the original plan was to make it a loaner but then you can't use it if you're loaning another vehicle. Perhaps I should have both and the "free one" is what it is? in other words get rewarded fir having your own vehicles with being able to loan a better forklift?
Do i need the rls career mod as well, or is this a map with rls built in? Im brand new to beamng modding. If i place this file in my mods folder will i then be able to access this map from say the west coast map that im playing in RLS.
sorry for the delayed response. yes you need the career overhaul...this is just an extension. from west coast open your map and find the map switcher (the ferry by spearleaf logistics)
there should be. is this after switching maps. if so you have to restart. rls bug
Call me stupid, but are there no logistics jobs on east coast? I havent really played much on east coast and theres nothing in the logistics tab
