I Need Help!!!!!
Hey guys! I am absolutely panicking and I genuinely need help. If anyone is tech savvy or just, knows more about this than I do or knows other platforms? I just got this email from vimeo, the video that did it was just a quick video from this morning of me taking a shower. Just taking a shower. Nudity is allowed on vimeo, a shower is not sexual, and I did all the right rating requirements for mature for nudity etc etc. They deleted my whole fucking account. Every video is gone. I can't post new videos (right now, I absolutely WILL find a way to keep posting videos for you guys one way or another) I have sent an email to appeal, but I have no idea if they will give me my account back???!!!!! I will try to make a new one but all those videos are gone now if I don't get it back. Is there another platform to post videos like that that I can link here? That I can post the same length and content videos?! I am absolutely going to figure this out for you guys I just need help. I am going to appeal and hopefully get the same account back- if not I will absolutely make a new one or find another platform. I am beyond stressed right now, this JUST happened and I have to put down my childhood cat today. Today is gunna be mostly spending time with my cat, and then tomorrow is not reserved exclusively for figuring this out so that I can start posting videos again asap. And by asap I mean like. By Sunday I aim to have this solved somehow.
Does anyone have any tips? I appreciate you all so much more than I can say and I can't wait to be able to video the rant that this shoulda been verbally instead of typing 🙄

I follow "Sailing Miss Lonestar" and she made a video a couple of weeks ago stating that Vimeo was closing down so she had to transfer all of her content somewhere else.. She showed the pictures of the email from Vimeo that was sent to her so she was prepping everyone to go to her new link because of this reason.. I screenshotted her email that was sent to her but I do not know how to post the pictures to you so you could see? Maybe THAT has something to do with it??

Oh yeah, Vimeo has really gone downhill over the years when it comes to nudity. It even happens with paid business accounts—I know because a body-painting artist friend of mine had the exact same thing happen to her 🤦♂️ I hope you get your videos back, but for the future, you might want to look into a different solution. It doesn't necessarily have to be a video platform, right? A simple link—password-protected if needed—should really be enough; that way, anyone can play the files, right? 🤷♂️ For example, I use "www_dot_pcloud_dot_com"; the prices are fair, there are options for one-time payments without being forced into a subscription, and you even get 10 GB as a free user! I switched there as an alternative to iCloud because they keep charging more and more, and it works flawlessly! I’m still just as happy with it as I was on day one—as you can probably tell ^^ I am incredibly sorry about your cat; take a moment to catch your breath first, and deal with the Vimeo shit later! Rest in peace in kitty heaven 🐱☁️
Telegram, allows photos and video posting. You can create groups where content is password protected. There is no storage fees or anything like that. And let's be honest, every platform is a risk for you, because they can at anytime change their terms of service and Telegram has no moderation rules as long as the content is legal. So that is a safe place to post video and pics and have zero fear about what the video contains. You can allow or block downloads and it even has a world class screen record blocking software, so as secure as it gets. It's a little intimidating at first, but watch one YouTube video and its pretty easy and straightforward to operate.

I am so sorry this has all fallen on you at once. I have no idea how to help with Vimeo, but stories like this are all too common on almost all social platforms. Someone follow all the rules and gets deleted anyway. Especially sorry about your cat. I have lost so many pets over the years and I know the pain all too well. Take comfort in the fact that you gave her (and she gave you) 17 years of memories.
Use less of the term nudity when able with any platform. You should use the term art in place of it. It might not seem like a big thing but it can to some.
Shoot okay. I only used it cuz they have it as the rating setting like they use that word exactly.
Also I know that feeling too much, quite recently the same happened with my family dog :( She got too 17 and she was wonderful! Pets are family! Sorry for your loss x

Don't know anything about vimeo, but hopefully you still have those videos on your phone or iCloud or somewhere else. If not, I think the most important lesson here is to store your videos in multiple locations so that if your accounts get taken down, you at least have the data to reupload somewhere else. I am sorry that you are going through this though, and I hope they're able to reinstate your account! Maybe at the very least they could recover the data for you.
Yes my next move no matter what will also be figuring out how to use my laptop better and for storage and how to get everything stored so this never happens ever again. Thank you for your support and being here ❤️
I don't have any video knowledge but I'm really sorry to hear about your struggle. Especially the cat. Take today for yourself and fix the video problem later.

I've thought about it but unfortunately because of the weight that those sites have in the name, it would kinda ruin me for my other artistic life ambitions cuz I'd be chalked up to a porn star and all my work would never be taken seriously. Paul roustan and David are both finding me some alternatives to vimeo right now so hopefully that works, but obviously mostly hope vimeo reinstates my account too 🫠
