The Milat Video
[Early Access]
Hello Patrons,
Here's the vid we've been talking about for a few weeks. A look at some of Ivan Milat's colourful connections to noteable people in NSW. This video is quite diffrent than anything we've ever produced before so we're interested in hearing your thoughts. It's a pretty wild and sprawling one.
We'll be making a few tweaks to this before it comes out for everyone next week on Youtube, don't worry, we'll re-record the pronunciation of roman-à-clef. There's also an extra part on the end that we're waiting to get cleared, it will involve a bonus interview that we'll keep on Patreon. Hopefully that all works out!
We'll have the Paul Keating/ Accord video for you soon too, keep your eyes out for that one!
Thank you all for your continued support in this rough time, we couldn't do it without you!

FJ trying to capture the white, blonde, suburban lady audience. ... ... ... And nailing it!
I'm a nerd. I'm here for the history lesson.
Great video, yes more of these
Sokulsky still practices law at the Charlestown law firm in Newcastle. You should request an interview with him to discuss the claims in his book.
Great video!
Deep dive...it's what we come here for.
Fascinating thread of details and insights from relevant people at relevant times. Impressed. Thank you. YES CONTINUE. 🎯 Stay Friendly
I am a supporter of more brilliant coincidental stories that incorporate a dash of education in history here and there. Bottle that and sell. I'm not smart enough to connect the dots though unfortunately. I just see glaring pictures.
I demand a follow up video, with map, red strings and confused scrunchy WTF face close ups. MOOOOOOOORE
"If you wanted vanish without a trace nowadays you'd have to shoot two cops first" OOOOPH 😅
Never stop
I'll admit that I found this a little far fetched and yet fkn hooked to know if this is all true.
More of this
More true crime! And more NSW history!!!! I loved this
wowza shire mention
As soon as you mentioned the "Innocent Until Proven" book, I tried to buy it online and found it unavailable, only to continue to watch the video and see your comments about the book being unavailable anywhere. Great video Jordan, one of your finest. You deserve a Patreon boost.
you veering off into true crime for revenue? Rebel without a cause now labors in.
Please go deeper, I want to hear about the PS3 hunger struck
Always a rum colony
No brainer the location of the Bedford van ties Milat to disappearance of Lapthorne/Pope...you would be mistaken in thinking the NSW Rum Corp is incompetent, it's not, it's rotten and always has been. Fascinating video btw thanks.
Thanks for the video a truly weird set of coincidences and creepy people all seemingly support Milat in one way or another, I would love to see a more indepth and longer video about the accomplices of Milat and these strange supporters of his
I think I will have to re-watch this. It's just so much to process. Also please make that NSW organized crime vid please.
True question any relation between this john marsden and the author john marsden. One could see him getting inspiration from the other ones stories
I can't believe the defamatory implication that the NSW Cops aren't corrupt anymore. Some of those guys work really hard at that and you shouldn't be so dismissive!
Thank Christ for Paul Onions being a pushy bastard. Even Live at Clive (ironic nickname) Small couldn't ignore him.
Second half of the 20th century Sydney loved organised crime? Well wait till you hear about Org Crime and Sydneys relationship in the first quarter of the 21st century
Being a Roosters fan, I always get a "huh?" when I say my favourite player is Barney Dalton (one of Kate Leigh's hitmen).
My mother and I are survivors of this animal, mum was a teenager had me young so in 1981 or thereabouts. I was an 18 month old baby and mum was 16 yr old, mum used to hitchike everywhere with me and that day we were hitchiking the Hume highway, all this was verified when he was caught mum recognised him on the TV after the arrest and called the taskforce and was subsequently interviewed and described in detail the interior of his truck, the Chief detective remarked how lucky we were, yet we were not the only survivors, he told mum he was flying around the country interviewing 12 other survivors who had escaped his clutches. Thanks to mums actions we are alive today
That's aweful, thanks for sharing. So glad to read that there were so many survivors like yourself and your mum. Did she ever testify in Milat's criminal trial?
