Attack On Titan: S3 E5 | “Maybe the Royal blood is Titan blood?”

Attack on Titan Season 3 Episode 5 throws Commander Erwin Smith into what looks like a one-way trip to the execution block, but as usual, he’s playing 4D chess while the nobles are stuck on checkers. By letting the corrupt royal government think they’ve won, Erwin exposes their true priorities: hoarding power instead of saving humanity. To make things even funnier (and sadder), the so-called King turns out to be nothing more than a royal placeholder who’s basically been quiet-quitting while the real rulers secretly run the Walls.

While the Scouts celebrate their successful coup, Hange Zoë starts connecting some very suspicious dots about a mysterious chapel “accident” from five years ago—because, shockingly, bandits don’t usually leave behind giant Titan footprints. The episode ends on a nightmare-fuel cliffhanger as Eren wakes up inside a glowing crystal cave for a very unwanted family reunion, proving that even though the coup is over, the real chaos is just getting started. 🏛️💤
