UP NOW: Best of HWA Part 3!

This set was provided by Adam of Heartland Wrestling History, a custom that he made himself. He graciously shared both with me to make part of COMPILATIONS. He contributed the write-up and match list below as well. You can follow him on X.

Best of HWA Part 3 (2008-2013)

The third and final part of the Best of HWA covers matches from 2008 through 2013, including Jon Moxley taking on the likes of Chris Hero and Bryan Danielson plus Moxley competing in violent matches against Dick Rick (aka LA Knight in WWE), Drake Younger, King Vu and Jake Crist. Also featured here are select matches from the weekly “Fight at the Opera” shows at the Sorg Opera House in Middletown, Ohio and “Adrenaline” shows in Hamilton, Ohio. There is good news and bad news about the footage from those shows though. The good news is footage exists. The bad news is that a lot of the footage from the Sorg shows and the Hamilton shows is from handhelds and a lot of the Hamilton stuff, while great to have, isn’t usable because of a myriad of issues (too dark, bad VQ, glare from the ring lights in the camera, etc). Only a few matches were able to be included because of these issues. The Sorg footage didn’t have as many issues and was actually better quality so more matches were included from there to make up this comp. Originally this part was going to cover 2014 but there wasn’t anything readily available from the three shows that year to pick from so this compilation ends with two matches from the 2013 return show that was under new ownership. Eventually 2014 matches will be added as a future addendum along with other footage that needs to be digitized from DVD.
