0.6.0 Progress Report and Update on Art Direction Poll

Hey again everyone!

Progress on 0.6.0 is coming along really well. Nerina's phase 1 minigame is complete and the writing for her stuff is about 80% done. Just need to wrap up some image edits and her portion will be good.

Summer's portion hasn't been started as of yet but hers will hopefully be easier to handle. I've got the layout for what happens and when all ready to go so I just need to put the work in. I'm projecting it'll easily be ready before the end of the month but no promises as I might run into issues designing/programming her minigame.

For the Art Direction, we got a lot of responses and the poll wasn't updating much any more, both in votes and in general vote split, so I've ended it a bit early.

The Poll Results:

With over 70% of the votes, you guys voted to go ahead and make the move to 3D models. We're working with the artist and they are working on Bridgette first. We would have started with Mel, going in order of updates from before, but Bridgette has a more expansive story and events so getting her done first seems like a good play.

Going forward, the update schedule will change, and the plan is that, if all goes well, each update will see 3D models created for one of the girls (yes, just one!). My plan is to continue doing content releases as normal, so 0.6.0 will release as expected, and 0.7.0 might get a slight delay, but would likely come with Bridgette's overhaul.

Update Format:

We're expecting to see all girls' Phase 1 content released with 0.7.0 as well, and from there, we'll be doing incremental updates to overhaul characters. So 0.7.1 may include the overhaul for Mel, 0.7.2 for Carla, etc.

New content will still be added for 0.8.0 and 0.9.0 with 1.0.0 being the point where all girls' phase 2 content is done, all the side content is done, and the main story is also complete.

Anyway, just wanted to give you guys an update on what's going on with the game currently. I'm really excited to see what we can pull off with the switch to 3D and I hope you all enjoy what's to come.

I'll make another post sometime next week for release date info for 0.6.0 as well as some more info on the 3D models.
