Features
A mod, not a save file!
Bring fresh life (and a coat of paint) to the Base Game lots with the Lot Replacements mod!
Over the last decade The Sims 4 have seen many new additions to build mode, both in terms of objects and systems. Utilizing these and everything that has been there since 2014, Lot Replacements updates all lots in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs with every new save created.
All lot has been built with care, quality and gameplay in mind, while also matching the world that they are found in. Thought have been put into matching the standard set in newer worlds, with some room to push past those boundaries (this is a mod after all). While there are a few new lots, most are updated versions of the original and you are sure to spot details, colours and more from the original (The keen eyed will spot that the Ofelia Villa share the outlines of the original 2014 lot for instance.)
And fear not! If you want to find the old builds, you can find them under My Library in the Gallery for you to place, just like the old Townie lots provided by Maxis.
New additions include pools, ceiling paint, platforms, toddler/infant items, burglar alarms and brighter lights (for those who remember). Each world also now come with a Wedding Venue!
While the Townie lots are mostly left untouched, you will find some equipped with burglar alarms and other small tweaks.

FAQ
Will this affect my existing saves?
No, your existing saves will stay intact. The map pictures of the lots will however be updated if you have not edited the lot. This is only visual and will be updated when you load the lot.
I would rather have the original lots in World View?
Remove the Kallixer_**_Thumbnails_LotReplacements.package file from your mods folder.
I would like to keep/access the original homes?
Open up My Library in the gallery and find the original one there.
I don't want all of the lots in My Library?

how did you do this? id love to learn how so i can turn a mod i like into something that is on by default (plumdon mod)
This is AMAZING..I always renovate these lots because the 2014 versions are lacking personality completely. Having a mod that does this will save me sooo much time when making a new save file. Thank you so much!! 💜💜
I know this will come off as an odd request, but I was wondering if you could replace the new premade houses introduced a while back with the old 2014 legacy release versions? I'd really appreciate it if you actually made this a reality!
Maybe as an optional secondary version? I'll note it down and think about it. I do have renos of some of the originals builds that I ended up not using as Maxis updated them, so those could also be an option.
Curious if you'd consider replacing the Bargain Bend lot with the one Maxis released in the gallery (with the Hawley Family in mind)? Link: https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/gallery/B8859760E3EF4D4693BE4E38BB80E1AA
Hi! Thanks for taking the time to comment. I don't have any plans to add new houses to the mod, and I think leaving that specific lot empty is good for potential parks, rentals (if you own For Rent) etc. I was unaware that Maxis had made an "official" home for that one, but tbh I don't find the Maxis one particularly good and would probably make my own one in that case. :)
Love these replacement builds :) One weird thing I found though is that all the televisions on the lots end up in the household inventories. I think there was an update to the game at some point that made this happen. Is this something that can be fixed in an update?
I will look into it
Absolutely amazing. Thank you!
super cool! i've always wondered if something like this could be done and made into a mod, and it's awesome to see it actually happen!! :)
