BEING NYX — EPISODE 1 IS FINALLY HERE!

Hey everyone!

It's finally time.

After completing Not Too Refined, I've been wanting to start something new and take what I've learned from my previous projects with me.

That project is Being Nyx, and Episode 1 is officially finished and released today!

Some of you have already been following the development, so you know this project has been in the works for a while. Now you'll finally get to meet Emily properly and see where her story begins.

Being Nyx is an NTR/NTS-focused game, with a strong focus on story, characters, relationships, and player choice.

Emily is a 32-year-old married woman who has recently walked away from her job and suddenly finds herself without the routine that used to define her life. Her marriage isn't falling apart. Her husband loves her. From the outside, there isn't even an obvious reason for her to be unhappy.

And yet, something feels missing.

Then an unexpected encounter puts a strange opportunity in front of her.

A name.

A persona.

Nyx.

Episode 1 is about planting those first seeds — introducing Emily, her marriage, the people around her, and the choices that will eventually determine just how far her story goes.

I've also tried a few things with Being Nyx that I haven't done before. This is my first game to feature music throughout the story, and I've spent extra time on the animations, GUI, scene presentation, and overall atmosphere.

For those curious about the size of the first episode, it includes:

250+ renders
8 animations
6,500+ words & more!

It's the opening episode, so a lot of it is dedicated to getting to know Emily, Daniel, and the world around them while setting up what's to come. I didn't want to rush that part. I wanted the story to have a proper beginning and give Emily's journey room to develop naturally.

The choices also start here. Some will have an immediate effect, while others may not show their consequences until later episodes.

There's a lot I want to explore with Emily, Daniel, Nyx, and especially the NTR/NTS sides of the story as things develop from here.

For now, though, this is where it all begins.

I hope you enjoy Episode 1 of Being Nyx.

And thank you to everyone who followed my work through Not Too Refined and decided to stick around for the next one. 🖤
