I could be super far off with this and it's kind of a cliche but a few different parts of the story made me think the protagonist may be a patient at a mental institute. The part where the woman who gets pushed into the Lord of the flies cage speaking about how everyone just walks past them and doesn't try to talk to them. The fact that the guide has been basically locked away for 15 years seemingly thinking his daughter was dead when in reality she might have been alive. The line about the curator raising her in his place. The idea that kids are never there, but the one we encounter in the story doesn't talk and is insanely good at drawing. There is a lot that I don't know how it would fit into that idea, but thought that was a cool idea.

This was a really good episode! I feel like it had the perfect mix of campiness the boys could laugh at while also having more well written serious parts to keep them engaged. Genuinly one of my favorite stories I think. Gross outs were so descriptive and fantastical and love the diving head first into the true madness that the museum thrives and breathes. Fun to have a guide that has lived with this stuff for 15 years and is still terrified of the things he has shown for years and not devolve into chungus “erm that just happened” humour. Reminds me of The Magnus archives abit.

Imagine this story as a game, where it starts off and you are keeping the guests alive while following a list of rules like don’t touch them or raise your voice too high while they are trying to touch everything. Then at the end it shifts to a Guess who style of trying to figure out which one is trying to kill you and trying to kill them first but making it look like an accident while still trying to keep the other guests alive. I don’t know, that thought just came to me.

The day his death was announced, I was alone in my work’s break room and started sobbing (I work the night shift). Transformers was something very important to me growing up, especially Optimus Prime and what he symbolizes. Unlike other iconic characters, Peter Cullen’s voice was more than just a voice. He genuinely was Optimus Prime, and in a way, with his death, the character goes with him. It will never be the same for Transformers fans.
