Will never not be jarring to see the movie theater I frequent in these videos 😭

I just found out that his thumbnail artist uses gen ai and I’m devastated, I’ve loved watching creepcast for so long and just got patreon to watch the exclusive content and now I feel like I need to stop watching them. It’s not just the use of AI it’s the fact meatcanyon talks about his disdain for ai yet has his artist use it in his thumbnails. I’m probably gonna get hate for this but I want to try and get meatcanyon to replace the ai thumbnails and hire a new artist otherwise I don’t think I can continue supporting what they do. This really sucked for me to find out.

Got the patreon just to watch this review. Saw this movie in theaters and walked away in awe at how bad it was. Half of the gore in the film looks like parts you get at Spirit.

The pinnacle of Eli Roth’s career was his performance as Donny Donowitz in Inglorious Basterds. Otherwise, he’s a mediocre actor and TERRIBLE writer. I 100% believe he’ll do straight-to-streaming AI films in the future if it will make him any sort of money. 🫩

What this movie is is a symptom of a slow death of media from the state of rapid creation for profit by companies who don't care. It is just another piece in the rapid cataclysm from how much companies only view media as another income stream while also being able to shut-out smaller creators and artist who care about what they make. Like Hunter kept saying, it's because lazy people can just tell AI to make a movie while doing nothing and making profit from basically any sales. What makes this even worse is the fact that streaming has become such a big things means that people who for example, bought Prime just to watch Fallout and maybe some other series will see this random movie that is free in their minds so they will watch, and it will signal to people and companies that hey, people will watch this slop so obviously they will keep pumping it out. Also a fundamental problem is that kids nowadays will most likely have grown up watching crap on Youtube because their parents just gave them a phone with YouTube and no restrictions, so kids grew up watching slop. So when they grow up and can watch whatever whether it be on streaming or theaters, they will have grown numb to slop from watching it on YT, so they will still buy it and watch it. Which again, will signal to companies that people will pay for this stuff. Also a smaller thing, the Backrooms is doing such a good thing by being this pillar of actually good media with this complex story and amazing designs, however slop can easy outproduce and beat any type of media with effort behind it. The public mind does not last on many things for too long, so while this one good movie can hold the attention for weeks, people will eventually move on and then slop movies will take it's place and can hold the place for longer because of how many are coming out. Another thing is that now content farms on YT can easily take something good like the Backrooms and immediately dumb it down and water it all down for kids, making it even more just like generic slop. Which again feeds into this cycle of kids watching slop and then growing up to keep watching slop. So now any piece of media with effort behind it has to fight a battle of AI media, slop, and then slopification while also trying to hold the public mind long enough that people won't just forget about it. And because media like that has to have time behind it, it can not outrace the crap that companies can produce rapidly. Which again leads to a losing battle and a slow, slow death for media while the world turns.
