Patch Notes - April 22, 2026

New Stuff

Drone flight modes & tuning

- FPV Drone Tuning panel in Drone settings — live sliders for Mass, Gravity Scale, Max Thrust, Prop Wash, and Throttle Curve, with a real-time TWR + hover-stick readout

- Angle and Horizon flight modes added to the FPV drone (on top of Acro)

- Assisted drone now has three sub-modes: Arcade / Level / Horizon — pick your difficulty

- Brand-new Shredders-style Arcade drone

- New Inspector/menu setting to invert the Arcade drone's right-stick pitch

- New setting to set Arcade drone's speed boost to either hold or toggle

Controller & calibration

- Arm / disarm bindings added to the drone radio calibrator

- Drone-mode enter/exit bindings added to the radio calibrator

- 3-way radio flight-mode switch support — map Acro / Horizon / Angle to the three positions of a 3-way switch and flick between them mid-flight

- "Auto" drone mode option — with Auto selected, the game detects whether you're using a gamepad or an FPV radio and picks the matching drone type automatically

- If the drone radio isn't connected but an arm binding is saved, the drone auto-arms so you can fall back to a gamepad without reconfiguring

- Default gamepad controls swapped to standard Mode 2: left stick = throttle/yaw, right stick = roll/pitch (roll inverted for natural feel)

- Hold L3 (left stick click) on the Arcade drone for a 2× speed boost

HUD

- ARMED / DISARMED indicator on the FPV HUD, which also shows the current flight mode (e.g. "ARMED — ACRO")

- Control-hints overlay in the top-left when flying the Arcade drone — shows every drone control with device-appropriate button glyphs (Xbox, PlayStation, or Keyboard)

- Hide UI button for the Arcade drone — press LB + RB (gamepad) or H (keyboard) to hide all HUD elements for clean filming; press again to bring them back

- Mini-map added to the HUD — always know where you are on the mountain without opening the full world map

Camera

- New camera pitch (tilt) setting in options — dial the camera angle to your preference

New Trails

- Junior — brand new trail added to the map

- Racing added to Junior, Big Dipper, Little Dipper, Rock Merchant, Radiation Ridge, Marigold, and Scoops — go set your times

Improvements

- Arcade drone spawns 3 meters above the ground behind the rider (FPV drones still spawn on the ground — ready to lift off like a real quad)

- Camera mode (first-person / third-person) now saves independently for bike, Arcade drone, and FPV drone — pressing the camera button in drone mode no longer flips the bike camera

- AUTO is now the default drone mode

- Toned down the red in post-processing — cleaner color grading with the stacked volume removed

- Performance pass — rocks, stones, and cliffs now GPU-instanced; bike shop and lift assets unload when they don't need to render; terrain base-map distance tuned way down

Bug Fixes

- Fixed in-air rotation assist — it's working again

- Fixed bike pulling sideways after restarting from a crash

- Fixed bike getting stuck after restarting a race from a high-g crash

- Fixed being able to reverse the bike inside the start hut

- Fixed being able to trigger a gate under the wood skinny on Junior

- Fixed the FPS cap setting's title

- Player spawning and checkpoint teleports now have a vertical offset — no more half-in-the-ground spawns

- Patched exploit where you could set leaderboard times on the E-bike

Balance Changes

- Drone Jammer trail in Backwoods nerfed

Known Issues

  • You can sometimes spawn inside objects like rocks or wood

  • Some UI text in the drone can overlap with race UI

I'm guessing that a lot of this will address what I was feeling with the drone on the last version. I will check it out soon!
