Print Quality and Support Optimization Update - For Those Who are New to 3D Printing

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a small update about the printing side of the models. The current files are already fully printable, and in most cases you can get excellent results with just a few simple changes to the orientation, support settings, or slicer setup depending on your printer.

That being said, I know that not everyone wants to spend time testing different orientations, especially people who are newer to 3D printing and are still learning how all of these settings work. So my main goal now is to make that first experience much easier. The first step will be a video tutorial where I’ll show how I normally orient the parts, what print settings I use, and some simple things you can adjust to get the cleanest results from the current files. After that, I’ll start going through the models themselves, beginning with the newest releases and gradually working backwards through the library, improving the default orientations, giving larger parts better contact with the build plate, and reducing unnecessary supports where possible.

The models themselves are already designed to print well, so this is not really about fixing broken files, but about simplifying the preparation process and removing some of the extra trial and error. As the models become more complex and more people who are new to 3D printing join the community, I think providing a bit more guidance and making the files easier to work with from the start will make the whole experience better for everyone.
