0.4 Update, Second Artist & Big Devlog
Hello everyone! Here is the current situation:
A second artist has joined the project and has already started working on version 0.5a—the events in this version run parallel to version 0.4.
However, to be completely honest, I don't know when the main artist will finish version 0.4. He hasn't been transparent with me and is hiding his current progress, or he makes promises and fails to deliver, slacking off on the work. I can't even set up progress bars because I genuinely have no idea what percentage of the work is actually done. All I know is that my duty is to release content and do my job, but my work is currently at a standstill because I am missing the pixel art for the combat system.
This whole situation really frayed my nerves back in version 0.3, and now it's happening all over again. Right now, I have the opportunity to work with another artist who is much more responsible and works faster. Naturally, you are also tired of waiting six months for an update, whereas I have always planned to release them every 1.5 to 3 months, depending on the complexity.
I spent all of July—while the artist's stylus was broken—thinking about how you would react to a change in the art style, since you have truly grown to love the main artist's work. But it just isn't worth this level of waiting and emotional toll. Therefore, if the main artist properly finishes his work in August, he will return to do the art for version 0.5b. But if his attitude toward the work remains the same, the second artist will replace him entirely.
Thank you for understanding! Posts and updates will now be released more frequently, exactly as it was originally intended!

I won't mind the new style if it's on par with the first artist, I also don't mind the waiting if the quality is really good as it has been. But, what I really want is for Aqua to finally have some action and focus on 0.5 lol
Aqua's content will be in version 0.5а! I personally love this bratty character.
Style is certainly important, but the main thing is that the idea lives. Since the main guide of the genre is parody, it is important not to lose the originality of the characters themselves. Yes, changing the artistic style is always a painful decision at the stage of a growing project, but it is a fairly common occurrence. The main thing is to make it clear to the new artist that how exactly do you imagine the images of these characters, their changes and over time the artist will better understand how to depict this. Watching development is always interesting. P.s. I apologize for the inappropriate instructions.
I don't even have anything to add! Everything regarding the current situation was stated perfectly and accurately.
The waiting is certainly nerve-wracking, but then again, anticipation is the greatest joy ^^ I’d also like to say thank you at this point. Even when there were delays, we were always kept informed and credibly assured that the project was still alive. Many thanks for this transparency :)
I agree, but everything has its limits. Updates should be released more frequently, and the approach to work needs to be consistent, not sporadic. Overall, I've been trying to resolve this situation for a long time, but I'm mentally exhausted from what's going on.
