๐ฎ The Real Way to Set Up Your Aim Assist โ Shape โ Size โ Speed ๐ฏ
Stop copying random settings. Learn the method that works for every player.
Before we start, letโs assume you already have the correct setup for stable aim assist:
โ
PS5 bypass is properly configured https://rocketmod.org/bypass
โ
Your in-game button layout matches the script layout (menu โ misc โ button layout) https://rocketmod.org/documentation/rocket-aim-cod/button-layout
โ
Your in-game deadzones are correctly set
โ
You use an optimized FOV for aim assist effectiveness
If all this is done, you're ready to follow the real method.
Hey everyone, welcome back!
Before we dive in:
๐ The RocketMod AI bot will give you a template to fine-tune your aim assist based on your playstyle.
But to use that template properly, you must understand this method.
Today Iโll show you the only correct order for building stable and consistent aim assist:
1๏ธโฃ Shape
2๏ธโฃ Size
3๏ธโฃ Speed
Follow this process and your aim assist becomes smoother, stronger, and way more predictable.
Letโs get started.
๐ท 1. Choose Your Aim Assist Shape
Start with Shape โ always.
The Shape defines the behavior of your aim assist around the target:
Some Shapes = smoother tracking
Others = stronger pull
Some = balanced for all playstyles
Think of Shape as the identity of your aim assist.
Pick the one that matches your style โ aggressive, tactical, or slow and precise.
Once Shape feels right, everything else stacks correctly on top.
You can find all the shape details on our website : https://rocketmod.org/documentation/rocket-aim-cod/aim-assist-shapes-guide
You can also look on a tool like https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad when your Cronus is connected to the pc.
๐ท 2. Set Your Stick Sizes
Next: Size.
This controls how big the activation zone is for aim assist.
If Size is wrong, nothing will feel right โ no matter what values you use.
If Size is too small:
๐ Aim assist barely activates
๐ Feels weak, inconsistent, or delayed
If Size is too big:
๐ Reticle drifts outside your focus point
๐ Shaking or instability
๐ Aim becomes unpredictable
In short:
โ Too small = weak or no activation
โ Too big = drifting + shaking
โ๏ธ Just right = stable activation without losing control
Find the Size where aim assist activates reliably without shaking or drift.
Then move on.
๐ท 3. Fine-Tune Your Speeds
Now we tune the reaction Speed โ how fast and how strong the aim assist responds once activated.
Go in a private match on a small map so you can test quickly.
Hereโs how Speed behaves:
Speed too low:
๐ Aim assist feels like nothing is happening
๐ Weak pull, slow reactions
Speed too high:
๐ Reticle shakes or vibrates when tracking
๐ Thatโs the โinstabilityโ limit
Your goal is simple:
Increase Left Speed step by step โ test
Increase Right Speed step by step โ test
If shaking starts โ lower it slightly
The perfect Speed is one step below the shaking point:
โ๏ธ Smooth
โ๏ธ Stable
โ๏ธ Reactive
Thatโs your sweet spot.
๐ฎ Final Tip
Every controller, every sensitivity, and every player is different โ thatโs why I donโt give fixed values.
But this method?
๐ Shape โ Size โ Speed
Works for everyone.
And once you master it, the AI botโs template will fine-tune the rest for you even faster.
