Abyss Chain as a Weapon
Here you go — these are the files to activate the Abyss chain as a weapon, complete with graphics and all.
Just paste the folders over the existing ones with the same name and run the bake. Make sure to bake both the file that contains the Props data and the one with the UI graphics.
Heads up: if you already have other weapon mods installed, this one will overwrite them.
In that case, go to Meta/Discovery, open the Weapon Editor, and delete the chain with ID 6510. Save your changes.
Then, go back to the weapons editor and compare the file with mine — the chain will show up as “missing” in your file (since you just deleted it). Confirm the import of mine — it comes fully configured and with the preset graphics ready to go.
Finally, note that in-game the weapon works like a microphone, while keeping proper chain physics.
As shown in the pictures, you can throw powered punches, do the grab-punch move, toss it, use taunts — everything works great.

thanks! is there any way to install it directly through discovery? I didn't fully understood the deleting and reconnecting part you mentioned as I'm pretty new with modding
Absolutely, yes. Do you already have modded weapons? If not, just put my files in the discovery folders with the same name, overwrite if needed and bake. You don’t need to do anything else. If you already have modded weapons, follow these steps: 1. Open Discovery. 2. In the Weapon Manager, go to Props and delete the existing Chain from your modded weapon (if it’s there, otherwise continue) 3. Do a compare between your version in Discovery and mine. You’ll see that Chain will now appear in the differences (since you deleted it, it’s missing in your version). Just add it back. My string already includes all necessary technical and graphical references, so it will work right away without further setup.
