Deep within the ocean trench, Kira pilots the Strike Gundam to draw enemy fire, buying Lacus the time she needs to infiltrate the E-07 base. She believes this is merely a mission to recover classified Clyne faction data—diplomatic records, private communications, voice samples, and everything that must never be used by outside forces.

But when the main screen in the control room suddenly lights up, Lacus realizes the truth.

Kira has already been trapped within the enemy’s carefully controlled battlefield. And the man standing before her, Keigo Mitsuda, is in no hurry to declare war.

What he offers is a deal.

If Lacus agrees to cooperate, he will not harm Kira—and may even consider returning all of the data.

For Kira’s sake, and to prevent her peace faction from being dragged into a greater conflict, Lacus has no choice but to lower her gun and silently nod.
