NFSW x Assetto Corsa - Traffic Progress, Optimization & Compromise

Traffic lanes in Silverton, Downtown Palmont, and the Palmont Highway are now complete! That leaves only the Fortuna and Kempton regions to prepare ๐Ÿ’ช

Lately, progress has slowed down a bit. I'm not sure if it's because the project has grown so large, but every click when creating lanes and intersections now has a 1-2 second delay. Still, that won't stop me from pushing through and finishing the traffic lanes!

On the optimization side, I finally found a way to reduce the CPU Occupancy 99% issue when playing online! Turns out, marking all buildings and walls as "WALL" was the culprit. I tried combining objects to lower the count, but it didn't help much. So instead, I only marked some of them as "WALL", and it worked!

The catch? There's now a higher chance of falling out of the map ๐Ÿ™ˆ But honestly, I think it's a fair compromise, because the map is finally usable for online play. I even managed to cruise around with a friend!

Speaking of online play... the latest CSP Traffic Planner now lets me export traffic lanes into AI lines for online use. It's not perfect yet since intersections can't be exported, so cars disappear there ๐Ÿ˜… But hey, it still means traffic is possible online too, which is really exciting!

Once all traffic lanes are complete, I plan to release the map for you all. Fingers crossed it can be ready before the 20th anniversary of Need for Speed: Most Wanted!

Alright then! For now, drive safely and responsibly... And wear your seatbelt :)
