Asura Reimagined — A Showcase of Creative Interpretations.
Keroji - Gonzalo Gómez
Today I want to share something very special with you: a collection of miniatures created by students who have passed through our studio in Madrid, as well as those who have taken part in online classes here on Patreon.
Otokage - Ana Rodriguez
They are incredible artists, and above all, wonderful people. Each one brings a unique style, interpreting and bringing these miniatures to life through their own instinct, sensitivity, and personal approach to painting. Seeing all these versions together is a reminder of what truly makes this project special: creative freedom.
Shurak - Michael Thomas
I want to thank each and every one of them for creating their versions of Keroji, Shurak, and Otokage. Thanks to their work, we can appreciate the incredible variety of interpretations possible from a single hand-sculpted miniature by the amazing sculptor Allan Carrasco. Each piece becomes a different starting point, a different story.
Keroji - Barbara Kopp
Keroji - Carlos García
I also want to deeply thank the more than 400 backers who are already part of this journey. In these campaign, your support has been key to unlocking additional content such as alternate pieces, pets, and all the tutorials. None of this project would have evolved in the same way without you.
Otokage - Gregor Straehle
You also have access to the previous two Asura lines (New Horizons and Hirelings of Asura) in case you weren’t able to get them at the time.
Shurak - Antonio Gómez
Finally, I also want to mention the materials that help bring this universe together: bases, brushes, and the Forsaken Pier, such as those created by MiniScape Studio, which have been used across several miniatures in the campaign thanks to how perfectly they match the atmosphere we wanted to create.
Thank you for continuing to be part of this journey.

Hi, how do these tutorials compare with those on your latest kickstarter? I am trying to decide on whether to sign up on Patreon or back for KS to access your tutorials to improve my painting
If you’re referring to the pledge with all the tutorials, they are essentially the same ones you’ll find here on Patreon for that specific project. On Patreon you have the Kuma project, but not the rest of the Kickstarter miniatures. We created that all-in-one Kickstarter pledge because some people prefer a one-off payment instead of a monthly subscription, so they can just get the full content at once. On the other hand, Patreon also includes the “Academy” section, where we go deeper into specific painting concepts in a more focused way, each video is centered on one topic like hair, eyes, or NMM on a miniature, rather than full project walkthroughs. So in short: Kickstarter gives you the full projects + tutorials, while Patreon is more ongoing, focused learning content and digital access.
Just wauw!!! Those freehands especially! I was thinking of joining a class in Madrid, but seeing this level of painting, I think I'll practice a bit more first :)
For the workshops I teach in Madrid, you don’t actually need any previous experience 😊 (if you already have it, that’s great, but it’s not necessary at all). Try not to worry too much about your level, every miniature you paint is already a learning experience and helps you grow as a painter. It’s all part of the process of improving step by step.
