Why go free?
Well really. It's about support and being open to the community as someone who makes texture packs for these games for people to re-experience these games for that retro nostalgia feel in a a different way.
So why have I chosen to go completely free again? Well in later terms I just forget to update the link for the "free weekends" sometimes. 😂 Although leaving open to hopefully bring more people in and gain more support for i can continue to do this little hobby of mine.
On the other side, can't just make a pack in 2 days unless the games really really short and i'd like to one day one-up accomplish the task of making Packs for games that are not able to have HD Packs because they are time consuming. Like any Sports, RPG, AAA, or any troublesome game like the Harry Potter Series because those are just a few of the dearly noted titles in those catagories that many people remember playing in the early days of gaming and some of which will never see the light of day again as a remaster/remake. Furthermore, iterating that some of us just like the original.
Although, what I will not put up with is people stealing my packs or of which others and selling them for 10-50$ a pop per pack and those who do will certainly be delt with somehow but that's another thing I have no control of really. Also, if there's anything specific needing to be made or can't find links to anything I make? Please just ask me or come to the source I'll happily help anyone of you.
Myself, like the rest of us making packs, are here for you all and the community as a whole. Nothing should just be locked behind a paywall fully and to those who are here before this post. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for staying and sticking around and hope you all continue to support a humble creator like me.❤️

You got pressured by that recent Reddit post? I've never seen so many people with a feeling of entitlement for some one else's work. I really hope this was your own decision and not the result of being pressured by moochers
Hell no, definitely my own decision. I'm just tired of people hating on this community while others love and give back to us for all of our hard work. Like I've said and been saying pure nostalgia of these classics. My decision to make my packs free comes from my own standpoint as a fan of these games in a new way to play them. I can care less what anyone says on Reddit or any one of that matter says about what we do. I Mean I'm sorry they feel that way and they're hating on it instead of enjoying it, but that is their own prerogative. But stealing is wrong. We don't steal nor do we own copyright of these games, if case be the fact we wouldn't be allowed to do this on PCSX2 in the first place nor duck station. To state, That's why I feel for bl4ckh4nd getting a majority of the hate from the other side of the pcsx2 community. In no way am I even trying to be a kiss ass about it but to reinstate again this is just how I feel about it has a whole. I love every single one of you guys that support every single one of us from the ground up because making textures isn't something that is just easily completed it takes time and precision to make them even if they are going through an AI program or coding program or built from photoshop or a whole fantastic mixture of both. Because it breaths new life into the PS2 fandom!
That's exactly how I feel as what you mentioned is very true. People such as yourself have a passion for video games and wish to provide means for others to experience games otherwise may of been missed. I've personally got your packs and they are top notch so thanks for what you do in your free time.
