Development Update #19 - Chapter 3

👋

Another week of progress! I rendered almost non-stop this week, and if everything goes according to plan, next week will be the final week of rendering.

My very scientific 🤓 calculations say I should finish all the remaining renders by Thursday. Then I'll use Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for some final optimizations (converting all the renders to lossless WebP, making color/gamma corrections, and renaming every render) before moving on to the coding phase of development.

On another topic, as some of you know, I moved to a new place about a month ago. This week I finally got fiber optic internet, and it's one of the biggest upgrades so far. My previous place didn't have fiber available, and the upload speed was painfully slow. Uploading the PC, Mac, and Android versions of Falling Apart (around 10 GB in total) used to take almost 5 hours.

Now my upload speed is crazy better, so uploading future builds will be so much faster. It's going to make my life a lot easier, especially when I need to upload fixes or patches after release.

That's it for this week. I'm keeping the final render count a secret until the next devlog hehe😀

Hope you all have a great week.
