Self Reflection and What's next?

Hi again everyone!

Been spending a bit of time over this past week self reflecting after the completion of Journey of Shieldmaiden.

This was my first attempt at such a long writing project, as well as my first time running a CYOA like this, to be honest, I made plenty of mistakes, and there are lots of places I feel like the writing ended up weaker than I would have liked.

Having said that though, I am glad we saw it through to the end, and for all the places I stumbled, I also feel like I got to learn a lot too.

My mentality with things like this (Not just Journey of Shieldmaiden, but also Happy end for Sorceress) is that everything I do should be a learning experience, and to try and move forward and improve in any way I can, (even if that progress or improving feels slow sometimes).

Speaking of moving forward, I have been thinking about what will come next.

Happy end for Sorceress remains my main project, but I don't want to stop writing either, exploring other ideas through a side project, switch between them like this, I have found to be a good way to avoid burn out, if I'm struggling to work on one thing, I can swap to the other and it feels like a different activity, which for me at least, help my motivation.

Therefor, I will be starting planning for the next project. I have plenty of concepts I'd like to explore, so this time I would like you all to help with laying out the groundwork.

Over the next few days, I'll release a series of polls regarding the setting, protagonist and themes for the next CYOA, as well as talk a bit more about the planned schedule and structure.

There were some things about the way I ran the Shieldmaiden that I found difficult to deal with, so expect some changes for the next one.


Having said all of that, thank you all! To everyone who has stuck with me, to everyone who enjoyed Journey of Shieldmaiden, and to everyone who remains interested in whatever shameless 18+ smut I put out next, I appreciate you all and remain grateful to you for staying with me.
