Avatar Aang preliminary concepts (no spoilers)
Because I like you guys, here they are in a larger resolution and also some I haven't posted yet on twitter.
This was before a time they had a visual style and direction set in stone, and at the time it seemed like they wanted things to be very elaborately designed, which is why you see so much more patterning and accessory details you don't see in the final product.
I was actually so shocked that they used the upper half of Zuko's palace outfit design in the movie because I imagined everything I did for this movie was going to be tucked away into pre-production and never see light of day because they rewrote the whole movie after the fact LOL. I was so happy they gave him these lovely long bangs in the end!! I don't think I did a good enough job of selling the idea to the showrunners so they wanted me to go full slickback for the turnaround. T-T
Anyway I am very grateful to have had this opportunity to work on one of my favourite IPs of all time. Thank you to everyone who has been very kind and supportive of me. ;-;

I had to pop by from Instagram where I initially saw some of your character designs , and say how absolutely amazing your art and designs are. As a person who loves making clothes and costumes, I love how much detail you put into thinking about things like knife pleats vs box pleats! 😅 All of the clothing designs are beautiful, especially Zuko's outfits, and I adore your Sokka and would have loved to see him in the film how you designed him. Thank you for sharing! 💓
Aw, thank you so much ;-; I actually really love fashion but all I have in training is 1 year of textiles in HS haha. In general, when I do character design I need it to make some logistical sense for my own sanity and for others who have to work with what I made. Sometimes I ask myself, "could a cosplayer make this?" LOL... so thank you for appreciating my sensibilities!
Been following your work forever and it’s so wild (positive) to see your treatments of some of my faves on an official basis. This is so cool. Thank you for sharing! 💜
It is so wild to me too!! Thank you so much for enjoying my works all this time 🥺 💜
Always boggles my mind when I watch an amazing artist forever and ever online and then suddenly see something that’s just like “wait, you’re THAT professional?!” XD Especially since I followed everyone from DeviantArt, which was such a casual platform. Like realizing your friend is a celebrity. 😂
haha tbh I'm still Just Some Guy who got really lucky. But yes, I do work on bigger projects every now and again 😂 Thank you for being supportive all this time!
I loved this show when I was younger, still do now ☺️ That’s so cool that you were able to participate in the production, and they even used some of your ideas in the end! Thanks for sharing!
as a fan myself, it's probably the coolest opportunity to come my way so far! Thank you for enjoying ☺️
