Behind the Scenes of Our New Tinker in WIP

I rarely post two announcements in a row, but I think this time it’s necessary!
First of all, thank you for the warm welcome you gave our new Tinker!
The upcoming OPT is getting a major artistic overhaul, and it’s great to see that you’re enjoying the work we’re doing. 💚
BUT — and this is why I’m making today’s post — a lot of people think our new Tinker is just an AI-generated image. I hesitated at first about whether I should respond, but I’d rather build a relationship based on trust with you, and (even if it breaks the magic a bit) show you the real work that goes into creating such polished characters 🪄
I managed to dig up as much as I could from our early creation steps — it’s been a while, I have to admit (we actually started working on this new Tinker back in 2024~).
We do a lot of pose research before finalizing a character — aside from the face, it’s really in the pose that you start to feel the soul and personality of a character.
For a NSFW game, color is something especially important.
(Yes, I know — the naked characters matter too xD — but color sets the mood and the overall harmony.)
It’s our job to make sure everything feels just right… so that you never even notice it!
Yeah, it’s silly, but we just added a single layer for the eye highlights — and it gives this amazing effect ~ Personally, I never get tired of it 💚
And here, you can see how many layers we’re working with!
Yep, our files are massive — but don’t worry, we’ve got good hard drives too, ahah!
To wrap things up, I think it’s fair to say we really care about what we create.
We’re genuinely trying to deliver a high level of visual quality for the upcoming OPT — and we’re giving it everything we’ve got to get there.
( That said, I’m telling you now: I’m not doing this full presentation for every single character! Ahah 😅 )
But honestly, in a time where more and more 2D games (And especially for NSFW games) just generate a random AI-made character and call it a day, we felt it was important to show you how we do things, properly.

Love the new version of Tinker and also really enjoyed the insight into the creation process. Rather like watching a film making documentary, your post showed all skill and technical 'magic' behind the scenes that goes into making the magic on-screen when playing the game. Would love to see similar posts in the future showing how the other characters evolve into their new looks.
I never thought the characters were AI; AI generated characters are pretty obvious. Your characters are fantastic. The effort is so worth the wait!
We currently live in a time when almost all the porn games are 3D and use the same terrifying mannequins for their characters. I have nightmares starring the characters of those games. Among the constant generation of generic, copy pasted 3D games a little haven of 2D goodness exists called Salty01. Among an ocean of 3D slop there lies a beacon of hope, among Salty shores.

NGL it's pretty awesome to see all of this and I'd love to see more behind-the-scenes like that in the future ^^ And also to add to what the others said: I didn't think the new Tinker design was AI either
