After all these years, all these miles, all the babies, boats, storms, breakdowns, wild anchorages and everything in between… we got engaged 💛
It’s hard to put into words what this moment means to us. We could never have imagined this life when we first set sail all those years ago, and we definitely couldn’t have imagined standing here, on a wild block of land in Vanuatu, talking about forever.
This week, come behind the scenes as I try to plan a surprise for Riley while we begin the huge job of clearing the land... slowly peeling back the jungle and trying to imagine what this place could become for our family.
It’s hot, overgrown and a little overwhelming at times… but also pretty special seeing the first glimpses of a future home begin to appear.
As always, thank you for your unwavering support, guys. We hope you enjoy this week’s jungle chaos and one of the most special moments we’ve ever shared on the channel.

We were together for many years and viewed the idea of marriage in similar ways. And just like you when we finally made that step we were amazed at the emotions and different level of love that settled in after the proposal and the “YES!” Thank you both again for sharing these moments and your journey!!
Well well it’s about time. You two were made for each other. You have two beautiful boys who are the best of both of you. As far as I was concerned you guys carried on like two loving adults that always cared for each other and the children. Aaaaawww congratulations 🎉 I can relate so much! Also proposed to my now husband and did not at all wanted to get married in a traditional wedding sense. So we did as you plan - just celebrated love and it was the perfect day with our close friends and family 😊 We‘re adults, we can design the life (and wedding) we want to have 🤩 Enjoy this special time!

One of the things I really missed and am quite frustrated about is that you almost don't show the love that's clearly there, yet it's very much missing. Not the sexual part, of course, but the other stuff which is naturally there. I think that will add a new and more connected depth to your followers with you guys. Love is a natural part of life; share it with openness and love (in your comfort zone). That will warm my heart. 💝

Super happy to see you’ve got hearing protection for the chainsaw. Elay, PLEASE get Riley some Kevlar chaps and eye protection (best kind is connected to a hard hat as a shield -either clear or mesh) to keep him safe. That’s a massive blade length for a first time user. And, no doubt, you’ll need your own tractor. You can get attachments for them that will help you do all the stuff. You two should check in with the YT Vanwives most recent homestead series. They have all the big machinery.
