4 Days at Sea to Reach the Most Isolated Men on Earth! (No Internet for a Year)
🇵🇼 This week we’re a long way from anywhere.
We’re leaving Palau behind and sailing to Helen’s Reef… a tiny ring of coral sitting way out on its own in the Pacific, on our route toward Raja Ampat. It’s a four day passage to get here... no shortcuts, just open ocean in every direction. Apart from the odd longliner and the big trading ships stacked with lumber, it’s just Riles, me, our boys and Lyds out here.
Join us this week for heaps of watch-keeping, free-diving, fixing little things as they break, and trying to keep the boys entertained while the boat does her thing. The kind of passage that reminds us what sailing is really all about.
We’ve been dreaming of visiting this reef ever since reading about the small team of absolutely incredible rangers who spend over a year at a time living out here, guarding the reef and its animals from looming industrial fishing and trade - often going without internet for a year!? Absolute legends. 🤯
Thank you, as always, for being the reason we can go this far and tell stories like this. Your support means we can keep up these off-grid, doco-style missions we love so much (and that you legends always seem to back us on). Let us know what you thought of this one in the comments!
Hope you enjoy the early preview!
Love,
Elay, Riley, Lenny & Darwin xx

Ya'll are turning out to be pretty amazing parents. Great job! I mean, there is no playbook, but boat kids are rad.
What?! Holy Snickerdoodle!!!
Great episode. Helen Reef looks amazing. Is there any way you guys could setup a GoFundMe or something so your community could raise the money to setup these Rangers with Starlink? That would be huge for them
Hi guys, haven't watched it yet nor read the comments... but I bet I'll love it, as usual.
Another awesome video! Can’t wait to hear the news on the boat. What a breath takin place! The water was so clear. Thanks for sharing this experience with us.
Is this Private now?
Planted trees for the boys! So lovely and thoughtful. And super cool!
Really appreciated the night sail segments with Riley, took me back to the feeling of some of the older videos with him just talking to the camera. 10/10 episode as always you guys. Safe travels.
Thanks, guys, for another FAB episode. How cute are those turtles!! I really love what you do as content creators. Looking through this tiny internet window into your lives and watching how you dream, create, work towards and achieve your goals continues to be inspiring and a driving force to me; to us, to dream, create and achieve. Thank you. In this episode, we have another reminder of your mindfulness and our gratefulness, in that we have access to services such as the internet. Looking forward to the next episode and next chapter!
After sooo many years with you guys, it is shocking that you are about to sell your boat. On the other hand, you all look a bit tired lately, and it shows. Your happiness should lead you, as always, and that is a good thing. That's the only thing. I'll wait for more news and hope to spend more time with you guys.
Suggest you keep the boat on the hard for a time until you are absolutely sure you want to sell it.
I really enjoyed this video, beautiful clear water. Never expected to have you be able to motor for an extended time as this . Suggestio
