Hungry Sailors.. Living Off Our Catch for a Week!
This week, we're sailing to Saipan. Living off the last of our groceries, long gone are the comforts of a quick store run! 😅 Out here in the middle of the big blue, we’re starting to rely entirely on what we can catch. Join us as we go without, adapt and remember that sometimes the best things in life are speared, foraged, or pulled from the sea by hand.
As our supplies dwindle, the adventure really ramps up when we set sail by Pagan Island. This uninhabited volcanic island in the Northern Marianas is active and shaped by time. It's remote, raw, and our kids had the time of their lives exploring her hidden lakes.

The drone footage is insane! The guys left in charge of the laundry was classic. Loving the candid footage of stuff going wrong as well as all the idyllic stuff. Snickerdoodle as always. The video was pretty long for one sitting so I had to come back to it. As usual, you all are living the life. Saipan is okay but I look forward to your arrival on Guam. I was stationed there for a year in 1969 and the changes have to be amazing. Can't wait for your analysis of the island. By the way, don't miss Rota. It was also a great island to visit.

Amazing back of the fridge cabbage salad recipe for you that will stretch one cabbage a long way. Finely shredded cabbage, if you can add one grated carrot and a sliced onion. In a quart jar mix 1/3 cup vinegar, 1/3 cup sugar and fill the rest with water and shake until mixed. Toss ingredients together about 20 minutes before you eat, and it is even better the next day. The longer it sits the better it gets. Snickerdoodle!

Thanks for the GREAT DRONE shots of the islands, volcano and lake! Glad the kids had a great time finally on land. What a wonderful trip! I always appreciate the wonderful edits of your videos. I cannot even manage to do a video montage of a one hour hike! Your adventures reminded me of when Bob got stung by a Tarantula Hawk wasp on a trip to Costa Rica and at a dinner with friends two years later he shared how painful it had been for a couple of weeks! I got an edge of swimsuit sunburn in Belize and everyone within a few hundred miles knew of my INTENSE pain for every minute of the next few days! (Don’t tell Bob that I told you but while he was living in Africa, Bob got bit by a Moray Eel in the Indian Ocean. He was going for a lobster and had to swim about 3/4 of a mile to get to shore. He says the swim probably cleaned the wound quite a bit. A local doctor soaked it in medication and butterflied it, then used a medicated ointment. Bob kept it bandaged so he wouldn’t be medi-vacc’t back to the USA. It was years before he got partial use back of his index finger. Be careful out there! Remember, remember, don’t tell Bob I told you!). He enjoys your videos, but never checks the comments. Snickerdoodle❤️💓💕💓🍪
Oh Michelle, the sunburn sounds awful you poor thing!! And don’t worry, I won’t tell Bob hahaha but bitten my an eel and having to swim that far would have been pretty traumatic. And the healing process 😖 poor guy
