JAPAN VLOG (5/7): Life on a Remote Island!

In celebration of the launch of SeaPeople App, we are releasing an episode EVERY DAY THIS WEEK (Mon - Sun)! Welcome back for episode FIVE of seven! 🐠🐠🐠

Join us on our 400NM sail, which will see our seafaring family chart a course from Amami to Japan's Inland Sea (in hopes of escaping the path of these gnarly typhoons!). Little did we know just what this sail path had in store for us... get ready for evacuation notices, volcanic eruptions, sightseeing, insane wildlife and some seriously EPIC sailing.

For you Patrons, we're stoked to be dropping these episodes to you in advance of them going live on our channel! 🎉 Riley and I couldn't have ever imagined pushing ourselves to make this series without your continued support. A massive thank you to you all from us.

With love from Japan,

Elayna, Riley, Lenny and Darwin

Love all these daily videos... just catching up now 🤦🏽‍♀️ Does Riley have a sponsorship deal or a bromance with John John Florence? Love that you're wearing his stuff... and how good would a colab /video crossover be?!

Another enjoyable day spent with all of you! Your boys are so at ease in the water… even bits of free diving… they remind me of playful otters… I would say seals but I have seen some pretty viscous seals!

We are certainly NOT tired of seeing all your beautiful faces daily. At the same time we don’t want you to burn out, or to miss fully enjoying your journey through these islands. We are very grateful for your extra work. Whether they are extended episodes or daily vlogs you continue to execute at the HIGHEST levels!!!! Thank you

Thanks for the intro for the other sailors from your new APP sharing their own sailing experiences. I’ve had a hard time keeping up with you guys and Catalpa! Now I’m going to have to check out 3 more! Funny, I was watching back again while commenting here and I caught a glimpse of Ellie in her green suit 😍 . The Japanese dessert scene was hilarious! From…the slippery fish escaping out of Ellie’s mouth to Elaynah’s projectile gagging! 🤣. Oh and I also caught Riley’s comment how your monohull averaged 5 knots! Could you have even dreamed what your life is like now? Thanks for sharing ❤️ ❤️

I’m SO NOT bored! It’s been fun to watch the daily life on the boat & your edits are spot on! (Bob likes them too.)

The daily vlogs are fabulous, BUT…I know unsustainable. Just glad you did it for this week. And, as always, you brighten up my day!

So do you buy extra mounts so when your prop wraps again, you'll have spares?

I was not completely on board with this at first, but I find that it is growing on me and I am now enjoying this daily vlog because it is actually like I have joined you for a few days of this trip... without having to worry about getting overtaken by a storm.

Back sewing double knot scales onto my kiddo's Halloween costume and now I can have extra Friday entertainment! Whoohoo!
