2 Years of Life Lead to This.. (WE MADE THIS FOR YOU!)

Riley and I have something very special to share with you all... 🤩

Most of us have AIS to see the direction/ speed of vessels nearby while underway but what about after you’ve arrived?

Patrons, today we're launching SeaPeople (a little app we've been cooking up with a few mates over the past two years...).

We're stoked to be sharing this wee documentary, so you can get to know what's been going on for the past two years, deep diving behind the scenes of SeaPeople's development and meeting the absolute legends we've worked with to bring this app to life!

SeaPeople shows you the fun stuff that AIS can’t. Easily tap to see who’s aboard, their interests, their interactive logbook, etc. All chats in SeaPeople have a drop down map for you to see where everyone is on the same screen. Keep track of your people and never miss out on those moments to connect!

Head on over to this link to download SeaPeople today (it's FREE): https://seapeopleapp.com/slv

Catch you on the app,

Elay, Riley, Lenny & Darwin

xx

I had no idea you were stuck in tech hell. I'm saddened to hear it. Its not an uncommon story. There are many of us with a lot of tech experience in your community, be happy to help if you get stuck again in the future.

Wow! First, I confess that I am emotionally trapped in a space I do not want to be. I haven't taken my boat out in a year. I'm prone to outbursts of frustration at myself. Professionally I install listening equipment for hard of hearing people in all kinds of places like churches, theatres, retirement communities and, yes, government. Anyway, I've become detached from me. Your app sounds like a place to explore again the person I wanted to be and the sailing I wanted to do. Sailing is a community as well as an activity... a "place" to be, become, do, and do all three with others. The horizons of all this are actually starting points... to start again, to grow, evolve WITH others. Pretty dang cool. ....... A totally downloadable step to a new future. Bring me along and I'll bring you.

Love you shared the whole backstory. It made me feel so much better as i have been working on my own app called enviromates.earth (global environmental crowdfunding app) and i can 100% agree on the pain endureD to reach your destination. We are just in beta ourselves on the apple appstore. Anyway Seapeople is awesome btw and love how serendipity played its part meeting Jean. Atb

I loved watching this, what a journey. The right team of people make a massive difference, so happy things worked out for you guys.

Stephanie Katharina · October 15, 2024

You guys! This episode is stunning! Loved the storytelling, the behind the scenes and how openly you shared all the ups and especially downs. We all know that social media is a highlight reel of your life. But it is so good to know that you guys trust this community enough to be raw 🤍 That‘s something I really love about you and your channel! And to SeaPeople App: thank you for this 🎉 I am „only“ a cruiser on vacation, but this app already made things so much easier! 😊

Sounds good.... still can't download app. tried some time ago with the beta version, but as a landlocked, armchair participant, I didn't bother persisting. Now, couldn't load via apple app store. PS may i have a sticker? I jumped aboard with Greta, so do I qualify yet?

me again.... maybe success this time. Was trying to signup with email.... no go. was able to sign up/on with apple. (which i dont like because of all the odd apple deductions from my bank a/c. )

How did you guys address privacy, cyber security and cyber threats/hacks on the app, etc.? You know from your own experience that you turn off the AIS so no one can see where you are especially with kids. Cyber stalking is a big issue along with cyber bulling, hacking and stealing personal and financial information. How are the users protected and if there is a cyber breach via app is there a response team that can assist 24/7? Have you considered legal and financial liabilities this can have on you if something goes wrong? And it will, it's not a matter of if, but when.

First the skull and cross bones mug is cool. More importantly, I'm so impressed that I'm at a loss for words. You all are inspirational! Cheers, and here's to hoping your App makes the world a little smaller for Seapeople. ⛵️🥂

WOW WOW WOW!! Congratulations guys what an incredible journey! That closing scene EPIC! Brought tears to my eyes! Beyond excited

S
Shasta Rose · October 14, 2024

What a beautifully done video! It brought tears to my eyes at the end seeing what everyone went through to bring the app to fruition, and how it all worked out so perfectly with the right people. It's so heartening to see the community of sea people connecting. I only wish we had this app 45 years ago, when the only way for someone on Kauai to find a boat to crew from Oahu to French Polynesia, was to tack a 3x5" note card to the Honolulu and Alawai boat harbors bulletin boards.

We have watched every episode since day 1 and it is a highlight of our week each time we sit down to watch a new episode, watching your family grow up is like a real life Truman show! We love every moment and now we have the seapeople app as well, congrats on the launch!

Riley & Elayna, I just want to say how amazed I've been with both of you over the years. My lovely wife of 52 years and I, watched absolutely every video you two have created and we fell in love with you and your family over the years. Sadly, she passed away from cancer in February of 23, but I have continued to watch everything you do. You are both the most amazing people I've ever encountered, and while it is unlikely I will ever be a "Sea People" yachtsman myself, I grew up cruising the San Juan Islands and have always loved the Sea life. I may actually move to Lopez Island in the near future and will definitely get a small boat if I do. Anyway, way to go on this App. I'm certain it will build the worldwide boating community, and you and your wonderful team will have literally changed the world in an amazing way!

This is a fantastic video, and even more so considering you're in the middle of building an app, running a huge YouTube channel and living an epic life. Can't express my joy at seeing how far you've come, and celebrating this giant milestone. May you go from strength to strength!
