Stage 9, act 2
Man, I tell ya, life be lifing sometimes, like for real. But anyway… ahem. But anyway.
Stage 9, Act 2. The second part of this stage features a “lights-out” mechanic that’s shown up in other games. This aint exclusive to Sonic or Super Mario or even Fortnite. What makes this level annoying is that when the lights go out, the ghosts come out to play
In Sandopolis Act 2 the player finally enter the pyramid. This is the most frustrating and boring part of the stage. It’s frustrating because of the ghosts. It’s boring because the pace is slow. The level isn’t that hard, maybe medium, medium-high at most—but it drags. What slows it down are the constant stops to make the sand rise. A lot of the first half is just climbing. This stage sucks. I’m not gonna lie to you. It’s so bad but some people deadass like it, though. Not me I hate it.
Blaze and the half-pint enter the pyramid after beating the Guardian. The oil operations unfortunately spreaded inside. Cream and Blaze accidentally release a swarm of Hyudoros that start haunting the place. To keep the ghosts at bay, they have to keep the lights on, or risk getting swarmed the second it goes black. Light switches are everywhere, which at least gives them a fighting chance while they look for an exit. Blaze tells Cream to speed up as the ghosts close in. The kid’s so scared, she grabs onto Blaze so they don’t get split up. After the airship incident, you can’t blame her. 🔵🔵👻
