Stage 8, act 2
Flying Battery Zone, part 2
See… some people move through life quiet. Others? They burn everything on the way up. Blaze ain’t the quiet type. She marks her territory. That’s the type of person she is. She dont take no shit. As proper and elegant as she is, one thing about this cat is she dont fuck around. There she goes, as she ran thru the interior, she tore through the Flying Battery (stage 8 still) like it owed her money. Cages busted open, animals scatterin’, engines shorting out under the wrath of her claws. Every step she took set off another alarm. The ships’s defense system started getting real nervous. And when a machine gets nervous…that shit starts shootin’.
Up on the roof, the halfpint couldn’t continue. Legs heavy, lungs burning, the kid was exhausted. She held Cheese tight against her chest and then tripped, hitting the metal hard, and just…stopped. So many thoughts raced through her head. So much so, she stopped paying attention to her surroundings. Worst part about all this, a missle locked onto them. Kid closed her eyes. That’s the moment most people fold. It shoulda been over. But its a story. Where’s the fun in that if I end it here? Blaze dropped out the sky like judgment. Her fur lit up like a pink candle, her jacket burnin’ red, a crown of fire spinnin’ off her head like a warning. Burning Blaze has entered the chat. She met that missile mid-air and kicked it so hard it flipped back into the clouds like it never existed. She landed soft, snatched the Sol Emerald outta Cheese’s hands. Blaze scoops up the kid up and blitz off. Roof crackin’ under their feet, guns sparkin’ out, the whole airship startin’ its long fall.
See… that’s the difference. Some people wait for the explosion. Others make sure they’re already gone when it hits. 🚀➡️🛕
