WATCH OUT FOR SIMSFILESHARE!!

Be careful when downloading cc off simsfileshare! if you haven’t heard recently alot of cc creators have been hacked and their files were replaced with malware, many cc creators have fixed this issue fast but i would avoid downloading off simsfileshare for now and use alternate download links! make sure all cc you’re downloading is a .package file, if its a zip, make sure to unzip the zip file BEFORE you put it into your mods folder and make sure all the files inside are .package files! MODS AND CC ARE NEVER .exe FILES!! so please be cautious when downloading any cc from simsfileshare for now, i have a couple ways you can check your mac/pc for viruses to make sure what you are downloading is safe!

Malwarebytes, I have been using malwarebytes for a while now to ensure i have no malicious detections on my mac, if you have downloaded off SFS before seeing this or seeing any warning coming from any cc creators, you can use malwarebytes to run a scan on all the files inside your pc/mac to see if theres any detected malware. If there is you can simply “quarantine” it and delete it!

VirusTotal, you can use virustotal which is a browser website to run a scan on any files (EVEN FILES YOU HAVEN’T DOWNLOADED) to see if the file is malicious or not, if it is it will tell you exactly what type of malicious file it is so you can find out whats embedded into it before you even download it!

and just a reminder again NO CC FILES ARE .exe THEY ARE ALWAYS .package (EVEN INSIDE A ZIP)
