TCP Devlog - #7 (...)
Hey guys. No fancy posts today. Just wanted to rant.
I've sat in front of the computer for about two hours and couldn't get any work done. I feel completely defeated with no energy to even continue. I've decided to write a patron post and call it a day.
Honestly, it's been a really hard time. I've tried to remain upbeat and positive but I've been questioning if I should even continue. I've had so much hopes and dreams for this game. I really wanted to create something special. Something new and interesting.
But it feels like running up against a giant wall. Is it better if I just cut my losses now and work on a simple renpy game instead? When my two friends working on the game quit, I really wanted to prove them wrong. They said it's a waste of time. I didn't want to give up. But maybe they were right.
Slap on some images, copy some lame story from one of those lewd webtoons, pump out 3-4 episodes in a month and make money. Isn't that so much better than trying hard like this?
I had so much confidence going into this. I felt like it was going to blow people's minds. Full cutscenes, actual game play, explorable maps.
So much work was put into this.
Just to read people shit on it and call it AI slop. The game is currently sitting on 2 stars. Should I even bother releasing it at this point? Every time I turn on the computer to start working on the game, I would read comments and it feels really depressing.
When our two teammates quit, it was a really big blow. Just make some easy renpy game and call it a day they said. Why even do this? It's not gonna make it.
But I believe they are wrong. I want to prove them wrong. In fact, let's do just that. Prove them wrong.
I want to say thank you to the few patrons who put in $50 tiers. You guys really gave me hope and motivation to keep strong. Seeing that really makes me push myself to go little bit more and keep doing it. Sometimes I reach home from work, tired and I don't want to bother working on the game anymore. But I remind myself every day that we still have 100 patrons who support the project. That's still something. I don't want to disappoint you guys so I will keep going on.
If one day this game makes it and we finish development, it will be because of you guys. Really, if not for you, I would have given up on the game already.
Ok, thanks for listening to my rant. I'll keep going tomorrow. Give me 3 more months.
I will do the best I can to create the best possible game I can make. I will finally release it on major platforms then and decide if I should really quit my job. 3 more months.
For those awaiting the latest updates in the lower tiers, I have discovered a major bug that affects a big number of players especially AMD users. I'm reworking the sprites before I continue sending it down the tiers so please be patient. Hopefully I can get it bug free. I am also trying to see if I have enough time to get a proper save system up and running as it was also another major complaint.
Thanks guys, for now, still on track to creating the best lewd game in the universe.
Mr Bajie.

I love the game bro. All the respect. Only problem is there is a white box around my character but I still did everything in my power to play through the 0.0.2. (maybe that’s the bug u are mentioning with AMD?). I’d go higher tier but I can’t afford 50$ per month :/ maybe the 20$ if you keep going. But I'll definetly be one of the first ones to buy it when it's finished. Keep it up bro, there will always be haters and people who find something bad in everything. I think the animations in the game are amazing and it gave it life like few other games have. I'm sorry I can't help you more but I can say I like your project alot. Take a break ....as long as you want. Just please keep going. Would be a shame not to release such a nice game. Good luck bro and thank you again! <3
I only recently discovered your game (0.0.2) through F95. Just that snippet of gameplay had me hooked, and I immediately signed up here. There's a real heart to this, and a fascinating setting that I really hope to see more of. And, of course, I want to turn that snarky delivery girl into my pet, but that's beside the point. I've seen a lot of crap projects that go on forever, and a lot of great ones that fizzle out midway. I only hope that, whatever the final form is, you are able to tell your story to your satisfaction. If the scope has to pull back a bit, hell, AAA games do that all the time on way more budget! I don't think there's any shame in doing what you can. Kinda rambling here, tl:dr I love what you have and I really hope to see it grow, however that looks in the end.
