A Delay in My Job-Quitting Plans

A quick personal update: I had originally planned to quit my job and work on the game full-time starting this month. Unfortunately, an unforeseen expense forced me to dip into the savings I had set aside for that transition — I had built up roughly a year's worth of living expenses specifically to dedicate myself to development.

Because of this, I've had to push back my plans. I've taken on a new project at work that will keep me busy for another three months (the pay is great, so it's hard to say no). I want to make sure I have a solid financial cushion in case the game takes longer to find its footing than expected.

I know updates have been slow, and I'm sorry for that. Right now I'm only able to squeeze in two to three hours of work on the game each day, on a good day. So for the time being, The Color Pink will remain a passion project rather than a full-time pursuit — but that doesn't make it any less important to me. Once my current work commitment wraps up, my plan is to shift my focus to the game entirely.

Thank you for your patience. I'm giving it everything I can.

Tier Release Schedule

Version 0.0.3 will roll out to Patrons starting from the highest tiers and working its way down on a weekly basis, so each week a new tier will gain access. I'm treating this as a test run for a staggered weekly release schedule, and I'm curious to see how it goes.

I've also got the next two releases already in the pipeline, and they'll follow in short order as 0.0.3 continues its rollout.

0.0.3 — Release Preview

In this update, our MC finally escapes the blackout in the apartment lobby and steps out into the wider cyberpunk world beyond!

What begins as a straightforward attempt to collect a debt from Myles quickly unravels into something far more chaotic. Instead of walking away with the money he desperately needs, MC finds himself on a wild chase across the city — all in pursuit of a jailbroken nanochip.
