A letter to all.
Hello everyone!
We’re finally here. It’s been a hell of a three months for me — but we made it.
As many of you know, I’ve been hard at work refactoring the game from RPG Maker to Godot, and I’d like to share a bit about why this decision was made, and what it means for the future of our project.
The first reason — as I’ve mentioned before — is freedom. Godot gives developers so much more creative control than RPG Maker ever could. It allows us to truly design the game our way, and opens up possibilities for deeper, more interesting gameplay mechanics and systems.
But there’s another reason, one I haven’t shared until now. Our main RPGM developer — who has been a huge part of this journey — has stepped away from the project. After the challenges of our initial release, he found it difficult to continue balancing the game’s development with his full-time work and new responsibilities. I completely understand and wish him nothing but the best. Rome wasn't built in a day! We have to start small in order to grow. It takes time for the game to see success. Maybe someday, if stars align, they can rejoin the team and we can expand our team again!
As for me, I still believe deeply in this game and in what it can become. I have big dreams for it — and even if others may not see the full vision yet, I know where this can go. I’m almost certain we’ll reach for the stars together. I always believe, the moment we have more content and as more people discover our project, it will be a very popular game!
When my developer left, I had two choices:
Either spend months learning RPG Maker from scratch, or take a leap and move to a more powerful engine. I decided — if I was going to invest the time, I might as well go all in.
So, I did. Up until this point, I've only worked on the art and writing for the project. To take on coding as well was a challenge. And while it’s been tough, it’s also been incredibly rewarding.
I’ve spent countless hours learning, building, and experimenting — but through that process, I found a new kind of freedom. For the past six months, I’ve been fortunate enough to focus almost entirely on this project, doing freelance work only when needed. That time has allowed me to pour everything I have into this game — and I’m immensely proud of how far it’s come.
To my 30 amazing patrons who have stuck with me since the beginning — even when the first demo had almost no content — thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea how much your faith has meant to me. Every single one of you has been a reminder that this dream is worth chasing.
30 will become 3000, I promise you that.
While Godot offers so much power, it’s also a blank canvas — which meant I had to build nearly everything from the ground up. But the hardest part is done. The foundation is solid. From here on out, things will move much faster, and I can finally focus on creating new content and expanding the world we’ve built together.
Thank you all for your patience, your encouragement, and your belief in me.
I will now release the download links for v0.0.2 and v0.03 is just around the corner — and I can’t wait for you to experience it.
Come hang out on Discord and tell me what you think — especially about the new COLOR PINK in Godot!
