its 23.0, but i just started the game today, im guessing its one of the later quests right?
Yeah you probably haven't done it then, you should update.
i downloaded the patreon version, do i need to download this one too?
The patreon and public version are the same files. Check the version number bottom left of the main menu. If it's not v0.23.1 then you can download this new version. But it only fix the whispering brook quest, so you don't have to update if you already finished it.
