Nano Banana Pro in ComfyUI! No Model Download, Multi-Reference

YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/4gC4zAHFk0s

Hi everyone!

As I'm sure we've all heard, Nano Banana Pro is absolutely insane! Today, ComfyUI officially released native support for the model inside of Comfy, meaning we can now leverage the full force of Nano Banana Pro and Gemini 3 (great for auto prompting) natively in our workflows!

Here's how you can get started:

How to Run Nano Banana in Comfy

1.) First, boot up ComfyUI. Go to your manager and click "Update All". Once the update has completed, return to comfy and, in the manager, click "Restart". Wait for the restart to complete and reload the page.

2.) Download the workflow below and drop it into ComfyUI. Click on the Manager again then "Install Missing Custom Nodes" if you have any missing nodes. Once again, restart Comfy.

3.) Once you've returned, you'll need to sign into your Comfy account and load a balance to generate images. If you've already done this in the past, you're all set to generate! If you haven't, click on your profile in the top right and follow the steps to create your account and load your entry balance. At $0.01 per generation, $5 will get you 500 images!

Once your balance has loaded, you're all set!

Additional Call Outs

A couple of callouts with the model:

  • If you want to pass your image generated from the API to further processes in your workflow, make sure to add the "Remove Alpha" node after your image generation Gemini node, then pass the image along.

  • The cost of generation is a rough cost, it will change dependent on what you are generating (I am not sure how they determine cost). For 1k and 2k images, cost is $0.13 (+235%) per image, for 4k images the cost is $0.24 (+500%) per image

  • This is a closed source model, I would highly recommend avoiding NSFW images. Additionally, while I haven't heard it as a major concern, like Nano Banana 1, censorship is likely enabled (even though we can generate celebrities and copyright characters it seems, at least for now).

Happy generating! Let me know if you have any questions!

Hello, you mentioned the invideo promotion "Black Friday deals available for Nano Banana across model providers (free & unlimited for one year with Invideo)". Does this mean I have to buy the yearly plan, and if yes, than is it worth it? Im new into this but I know that the NB pro is very good. Thanks for answering

Hi! I thought I saw this comment come across a couple days ago, but then it disappeared! To be honest, I am not sure on the specifics of the deal, I just know they had it. There's a chance it's gone now as I believe it was a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal. I believe it was free for one year with any subscription purchase, but I could be wrong. On the question of is it worth it, I guess that's ultimately up to you. If you're generating an abhorrent amount of images through NB2, then I'd say probably yes. It's really an equation of, is it cheaper to get a $15-$25 one time subscription to get unlimited access, or is it cheaper to generate the images I need on a case by case basis in Comfy. For example, $25 in Comfy with Nano Banana 2 would get you about 178 images. If you're not generating more than that, I'd probably just stick to Comfy. If you're generating significantly more, the offer might not be a bad idea. At the end of the day, it's a marketing play for them. Some of these platforms get early access as API providers, but we don't know what costs they are being given either. If they are paying the wholesale cost (~$0.14 per image) like the rest of us, they are trying to take a loss leader strategy. They are betting that you won't generate close to $25 worth of Nano Banana 2 images through their platform essentially, and taking the hit on users who do exceed that threshold, likely because they make that money back elsewhere. It's a brilliant business play, but form a consumer perspective, the value of the offer depends on what you're trying to do. Basically, it's only valuable if you REALLY use it :)
