I love this show so much! I can’t wait to see how it ends but I also don’t want it to end! The tension is crazy.

Your speculation is as good as mine - the show isn't based on a novel, so only the producers know what will happen.

Episode 4 starts as Ran is bringing coffee to Lené at the office, and Ran is suspiciously upbeat, but Lené tells her to push all meeting for the day to the day, as she is meeting Dean, and tells Ran that they meet in the morning, check the warehouse in the afternoon and have dinner in the evening, where Ran shall find them a nice restaurant- Ran is clearly agitated as she writes in down, then fumbles with her pen, and lands on Lené’s lap as she tries to get it again before it hits the ground. They have a moment before Lené tells Ran to get off her lap, but she argues she’s not that heavy. But then, the door opens – and in come the three of the four co-workers and Peem who are astonished. Ran quickly gets up from Lené’s lap, but the damage is done, and the co-workers draw their own conclusions. Lené plays it cool and wants to know why they’re there, then tells them their meeting is postponed and throws them out, with Ran also leaving, and with Peem grinning from ear to ear and recommending to lock the door next time. Lené collects Ran’s pen from the ground and smiles. Outside, the rumors are spreading with light speed as the three co-workers inform their fourth colleague about what just happened in Lené’s office. They argues that Dean doesn’t stand a chance against Ran, who joins them at this time and ask them to stop gossiping because it’s wasn’t what they are thinking, she claims. But to no avail, as they still think it was exactly what it looked like and Peem throwing oil on the fire and arguing that it might be even more than they are thinking. Lené wants the to quit the chatter at this point, which causes the co-workers to leave, and Peem also recommending to Ran that she should lock the door when she’s up to something. Ran gets angry, but Peem is called to Kanin and excuses himself… … but Ran follows him and eavesdrops them and records their conversation. Peem reports that Lené went to check the stock and found the good they had hidden, and he’s keeping a close eye on her next move. Kanin wants him to move the stash, but Peem argues it will be difficult now, as she is watching his every move, he argues. But Kanin wants him to do whatever it takes to make this shipment vanish from Lené’s sight, and argues that it was his job from the start to keep her in the dark, He wants him to handle it that night, and Peem will get his people on it immediately. Peem leaves the office shortly after Ran returns to the restroom, arguing that Lené might already know about Peem and Kanin working together, and argues she must have seen something in the warehouse, and that why she was killed (actually, will be killed). And Ran remembers her return to Lené’s funeral in the original timeline, and her vow to keep her safe after returning to 2021. She argues that she is so close to the truth and only has to find out what those goods are, and that this “special shipment” was when it all began. She thinks she needs to get to the bottom of this. After the credits, it nighttime, and Ran is at the warehouse again where she is not alone. As a guard is called of for something, she argues she has ten minutes to find all out. A guard is knocked out and dragged away and those are Lené’s guys who argue on the radio that they should intervene as soon as the goods are moved. Ran meanwhile is checking the inventory and tries to find something that wasn’t in the manifest. She finds a wooden box under a canvas. She finds some documents and some guns. Shocked, she drops the iron she used for opening the boxes and quickly make a few photos before she flees. Lené sees her leaving and she tells her men to protect her. Ran tries to escape but everywhere are men looking for her, and as the guys get close, she is dragged to the side… …by Lené, who argues she shouldn’t be here, but asks her if she can run. So Lené and Ran feel together under the cover of her men. Peem learns that someone was at their “special treatment” and they had help, his colleagues argue. Peem draws his gun and searches for them. Lené shoots some henchmen than runs into Peem, and Ran has a flashback to the funeral and decides to run in front of Lené to protect her – but Peem has shot one of his team members, and tells them he is helping them and his boss Lené is now on her own. Lené and Run flee toward the pier, then just jump into the river. Later, they are getting out of the river at a different pier, and Lené panics as Ran is nowhere to be found, but she gets out of the water moments after her. Ran wants to know if Lené is hurt, then hugs her crying, claims she was so scared that something would happen to her, she can’t take is but Lené calms her down a little, as she claims she is fine. Lené argues that Ran can’t go home tonight, as it’s too dangerous. Then, she encounters a transient hotel and books a room (which is normally clearly used for hooking up) in it. Lené wants Ran to take a shower before they are talking, and she goes to shower as Lené tells Peem via text that they are alive and well. Peem and a henchman inform Kanin that someone interfered with their plan and broke into the warehouse tonight; he wants to know whether is was his daughter, but Peem claims that while the intruder was a woman, she had a different build that Lené, and someone helped her get away. Kanin wants to know what she took, and the henchman claims the shipping documents are missing and some of the cates were opened, he reports that he ordered the goods moved and pushed back the pickup date. Kanin orders them to find out who she is and who helped her, then tells Peem to check if his daughter is home yet. And Peem agrees. Ran sits in white bathrobe on the bad as Lené returns from showering, also dressed in white, and claims they need to talk, which is fine for Ran as she wants to talk as well. Lené wants to know if she has any idea how dangerous it was what she did that day, and Ran knows. Lené scolds her because she could have died, but Ran knows that as well. But Lené wants to know why she took the risk, and she claims she just couldn’t let it go, but Lené point out that if she got there a second later, Ran could have died. But Ran argues what about her, what exactly is she risking her life for. She admits that she was stupid, just a stupid girl who rushed in alone, and she got absolutely nothing, even her phone is lying at the bottom of the river. But she argues that she only had to do this because Lené never told her anything. But she knows Lené doesn’t trust her, and she is not asking her to trust her overnight. She argues that she just wanted to find out the truth herself, because she overheard her father talking to Peem about moving some goods this day. Lené scolds her for being stupid enough to run into the warehouse alone just to find some truth, but Ran claims she did it all for her because she’s worried about her. She argues that everyone around her has bad intentions, and she can hate her all she wants, but she’s begging her not to trust those people. Lené interjects that Peem is the one she trust the most, Ran claims she doesn’t understand, but Lené throws this back in her face, claiming that Peem is not one of her father’s men – and we get a flashback in which Peem tells Lené that the goods are to be moved that night at her father’s request, and Lené announces that they’ll raid the warehouse that night as originally planned. Peem promises to cause a distraction on Kanin’s side first, and will signal her to make her move, but argues that Kanin might be a little suspicious of him, and Lené claims that maybe it’s time for him to come back, but argues they must destroy this shipment no matter what, and they need to cut off her father’s cash flow. He tells Lené to be careful, arguing that he knows his boss is capable, but her people are only human. Lené tells Ran that she was it who sent Peem to work for her father, and he is her man. But Ran argues that if Peem is her man, then what is she? Ran argues that Lené should know, but Lené doesn’t and she doesn’t want to, either. She tells her to stop risking her life, to stop everything, to pack her things and go back to her peaceful life, and to stop meddling in her business. But Ran is sad because all she ever does is push her away. Does she think she can’t feel pain? Lené tells her to go if living with her is that painful. But Ran claims that she knows she can’t do that, and she cries as she states that she has no one else left in her life, she knows that and she known all along since that day how she feels about her. She knows that Lené is Run’s entire world, and argues, if her whole world was about to collapse would she just stand there and watch it disappear? Ran can’t bear the thought of it, and claims she’s not asking for much, and she doesn’t have to love or trust her, but she pleads with her not to chase her away. Lené wants to know why she has to go this far, and Ran claims it’s because they have only one life, and she doesn’t want to lose her again. Ran takes her hand as she asks he again to stop pushing her away. She tells her she loves her, and kisses her… … and Lené kisses her back, and then, they kiss more ferociously. And Lené quickly disrobes Ran before dropping her bathrobe herself, as they fall into the bed and make love (only for IQIYI, by the way). Afterwards, Ran claims Lené is so much cuter when she’s not being fierce with her, then kisses her once and gets up. And we learn that Lené was not sleeping after all, and she calls someone. Kanin wants to know if “this girl” is her daughter’s type but his henchman doesn’t know what he means with that, and he admits that he knows his daughter never dated a man, and argues that perhaps she has a very specific taste, especially for girl like her. His henchman asks if that’s why he hired her, and Kanin claims if someone doesn’t have a weakness, you just have to create one for them. And we see that he’s looking at Ran’s resume. Lené has changed into new street clothes and gives Ran some for her, claiming Peem will pick them up at a restaurant nearby later. Ran thanks her and calls her P’Le, but Lené claims she can call her whatever she wants. Ran thanks her for it and gives her a quick kiss, before she goes to change. And Lené likes it. Later at the restaurant, they are having coffee and Ran can’t stop staring at Lené’s fingers until she calls her a pervert. Then, Lené wants to know what Ran found out the night before. Ran tells her she found documents, and while she didn’t have time to look though them, she thinks they were falsified. And she thinks the company is smuggling illegal weapons, and Lené tells her it’s no just illegal weapons. So, her father is – but Ran doesn’t get to finish the sentence before Lené tells her exactly, and mention that’s why she didn’t want her involved in this, but Ran argues it’s too late for that, and claims she never for a second regretted coming back to her. Lené claims to give up, which get Ran to smile. Then, she argues how expensive it is to hire protection for someone, and why should she spend money to protect Ran, anyway? Ran claims she can take care of herself, but Lené argues that a funeral is more expensive than a bodyguard. Ran wants to know if it would kill her to admit that she is worried about her. Lené smiles then goes away and comes back with some shoes and a phone, and she put the shoes onto Ran’s feet, asking her to just sit still and act helpless like she used to – triggering another flashback to Lené opening a water bottle for her, and Lené thinking she must follow her around if she so helpless. She then gives her the phone telling her it’s a replacement for the one that fell into the river. Ran wants to talk about their night together, to be more exact about their status. Lené claims the she her secretary, and she is her boss – and if they not okay with her she can go back abroad. Run is fine with having no status, but she’s already hers, she claims. She is her person. Lené turns around to not let her see that she’s smiling. And that’s where the episode ends, except for a little coda where Ran tells the housemaid that she believes Lené to be the kindest person. She wants to see how mean she can really be to her, she claims, as Lené comes down to her, mentions she already made a certain someone cry all night, and asks her if she wants to put that to the test again. Then she wants her to get her a cup of coffee, as it seems she didn’t get enough sleep the night before. ___ That was the best episode so far, and not just because they finally consummated their relationship. This episode featured major reveals, and the father seems to not care for his daughter all that much, whereas Peem is actually a mole for Lené though we don’t know yet what his words after her funeral meant. Kanin seems to use his company for weapons smuggling, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he was also dealing drugs or something. I found it funny that the show used a brothel-kind of hotel for their first time, and chuckled at the innuendo afterwards. I’m interested how this relationship – and the smuggling plot – will continue. We’re over the midpoint!
